Sanskaram College of Veterinary and Animal Science (Sanskaram COVAS) was establishd by Master Dayanand Memorial Educational Trust  (2007).  SCOVAS was established with broad Vision, mission and Mandate.

The Sanskaram COVAS is situated at Jhajjar city of Haryana, on the Kheri- kulana road, Kheri Taluka, Patauda.   Jhajjar is located 55 km west of Delhi NCR.   It is near the road connecting Rewari to Rohtak (NH-352), Loharu to Meerut (NH-334B), Charkhi Dadri to Delhi and Gurgaon to Bhiwani.  The college is strategically located just 2 km away from nearest bus stand and 4 km away from Railway station.  The Airport is 45 km from the college and the Metro Station is 32 km away.  AIIMS, Jhajjar is about 20 km from the campus.

Sanskaram COVAS, Jhajjat is affiliated with Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (LUVAS), Hisar. The Institute follows all the rules and regulations set in the Minimum Standard of Veterinary Education (MSVE- 2016-17) by Veterinary Council of India.  

SCOVAS offers Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (BVSc&AH), as well as a 2 year full time Diploma in Veterinary Livestock Development  (VLDD).   The Eligibility for admission is based on 10+2 scores and Entrance Exam on Merit Basis.

Sanskaram College of Veterinary And Animal Science, Jhajjar provides excellent facilities which include Library, modern Buildings, audio-Visual laboratories, Residential accommodation for the faculty,  separate Boys and Girls Hostels with all amenities, Games & Sports, Conference/ Meeting Hall, Computer Lab/ARIS Cell, Ambulatory Services and Audio-visual Classrooms.  The college also has other modern facilities for academic requirements of various departments like Livestock Farm Complex, Livestock Production Management (LPM), Veterinary Clinical Complex (VCC), Livestock Product Technology, Ultra sonography, Small and Large Animal X-ray Machines, Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for Small and Large Animals, Small Animal Nebulization & Electrocardiography, Operation Theatres, Artificial Insemination (AI), Physiotherapy Equipments, Blood Testing and Faecal Testing Facility, etc.

Animal Hospital Clinicians of Sanskaram COVAS offer a variety of on-the-farm services, from individual animal care to herd health.  An Ambulatory Clinical Service is also available within a 40 kilometer radius of Jhajjar.  In addition, the college conducts many free clinical camps in several districts of the state to educate the farmers regarding aspects of prevention and control of different diseases. In each camp, 50 to 100 animals were diagnosed for their illnesses, treated and operated upon. On an average, 4-5 such camps were organized every month. This practice will be continued further in the Haryana, Gurugram and other adjoining cities.

The college is affiliated with Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (LUVAS), Hisar. Courses offered at the institution are BVSc & AH and VLDD which is a diploma course. SCOVAS has great infrastructure in place, it is considered to be on par with the best in the country.

Admission: Through NTA NEET UG score

On the basis of merit through NEET UG examination conducted by NTA.

Minimum Eligibility Qualification
10+2 examination/equivalent examination conducted by an Education Board/University/Council (duly recognized by the Rajasthan Board, CBSE, New Delhi) with not less than pass marks in each subject and not less than 50% marks in the aggregate of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. However, in the case of SC/ST candidates, the minimum aggregate required is 40%. OR Any examination of a University/Education Board/ College/School in a foreign country recognized by the Academic Council as an equivalent for the purpose with good knowledge of English.

Minimum Age
17 years on or before the 31 December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year of B.V.Sc. & A.H. course.

LIBRARY
The college e-Library serves as the academic heart of the college to support teaching programmes, research activities and extension. It also advances the success and impact of the college community by providing access to information and recorded knowledge by investing in environment conductive to study, research and learning. It is situated on the second floor of main building measuring more than 3000 square feet area and it is divided into service areas, collections stall and reading hall which can accommodate 150 students at a time. The library house has nearly 2000 books of different disciplines, scientific journals, departmental manuals magazines, Hindi and English news-papers, etc. It is managed and operated by the librarians and supporting staff. The library facilitates has xerox service at nominal rates, Wi-Fi, central computer lab and e-journals etc.

HOSTEL FACILITY
The College has a good range of comfortable, secure and reasonably priced accommodation. More than 300 students can live in the campus and enjoy the beautiful facilities at the campus, such as spacious rooms, 24 hour power back up, Wi-Fi connectivity, AC, etc. The Boys and Girls hostel have separate resident wardens in addition to the supervisors and supporting staff.

GAMES AND SPORTS
The institute recognizes the importance of sportsman spirit and team effort for students. This can be learned in a congenial environment through sports and games. For this, the Campus has adequate sports facilities and state-of-the-art infrastructure. The campus has adequate sports infrastructure for Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, Football, Badminton, Table Tennis, Chess and several other Indoor and Outdoor games. Along with the sports, we provide Gym facilities to our students to make them strong and brave.

CONFERENCE/MEETING HALL
A full air-condition conference hall in the college provides the right environment and ambiance for various programmes, seminars and conferences, lectures, boardroom-style meetings. The seating capacity is about 200 chairs with the ease of having a front stage for activities. It is fully equipped with audio and video aids that provide appropriate environmental training to the students.

The college is having a huge indoor auditorium with a professionally-deployed acoustic system and a seating capacity of about 500 people. The objective behind the auditorium is to enhance the quality of education. To make this possible, the auditorium offers facilities such as LCD projectors, screens for delivering lectures. It also provides ample opportunity for our staff and students to exhibit their talents in cultural activities.

COMPUTER LAB/ARIS CELL
The college has a well-equipped computer lab/ARIS Cell. The Cell provides internet connectivity to different departments of colleges as well as hostels through LAN and wireless access points. This is useful for the retrieval of information and data from various sources on various aspects needed by students and teachers. This facility not only helps students and teachers of the college but also the farmers and animal-owners as their problems are addressed by making use of the latest information in that field. Through the ARIS Cell, students and teachers get direct and rapid access to the various online journals, especially through CERA made available by the Indian Council of Agriculture Research, New Delhi. Here, the students can access the internet, do computer-related work and can also retrieve information from various resources available online.

AMBULATORY SERVICES
The Ambulatory Clinic serves animal farms within a 40 kilometer radius of Jhajjar. Our clinicians offer a variety of on-the-farm services, from individual animal care to herd health. If you can’t bring your animals to the hospital, or simply prefer not to, let us bring our exemplary care to you. Although most of our ambulatory visits occur within 40 kilometer of Jhajjar district, we are happy to travel farther by special arrangement.

We offer a full range of ambulatory services, including:
Routine herd health, including vaccinations, parasite control, pregnancy examinations, castration and dehorning.
Herd-level disease surveillance testing (Brucellosis, Johne’s, Tuberculosis, Caseous lymphadenitis and more).
Treatment of emergency medical issues.
Herd disease outbreak investigations.
Herd health planning to help improve animal health and efficiency.

AUDIO-VISIUAL SMART CLASSROOMS
