Sanskaram College of Veterinary and Animal Science (Sanskaram COVAS) was establishd by Master Dayanand Memorial Educational Trust  (2007).  SCOVAS was established with broad Vision, mission and Mandate.

The Sanskaram COVAS is situated at Jhajjar city of Haryana, on the Kheri- kulana road, Kheri Taluka, Patauda.   Jhajjar is located 55 km west of Delhi NCR.   It is near the road connecting Rewari to Rohtak (NH-352), Loharu to Meerut (NH-334B), Charkhi Dadri to Delhi and Gurgaon to Bhiwani.  The college is strategically located just 2 km away from nearest bus stand and 4 km away from Railway station.  The Airport is 45 km from the college and the Metro Station is 32 km away.  AIIMS, Jhajjar is about 20 km from the campus.

Sanskaram COVAS, Jhajjat is affiliated with Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (LUVAS), Hisar. The Institute follows all the rules and regulations set in the Minimum Standard of Veterinary Education (MSVE- 2016-17) by Veterinary Council of India.  

SCOVAS offers Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (BVSc&AH), as well as a 2 year full time Diploma in Veterinary Livestock Development  (VLDD).   The Eligibility for admission is based on 10+2 scores and Entrance Exam on Merit Basis.

Animal Hospital Clinicians of Sanskaram COVAS offer a variety of on-the-farm services, from individual animal care to herd health.  An Ambulatory Clinical Service is also available within a 40 kilometer radius of Jhajjar.  In addition, the college conducts many free clinical camps in several districts of the state to educate the farmers regarding aspects of prevention and control of different diseases. In each camp, 50 to 100 animals were diagnosed for their illnesses, treated and operated upon. On an average, 4-5 such camps were organized every month. This practice will be continued further in the Haryana, Gurugram and other adjoining cities.
