ABOUT

Sardar Patel Memorial Society UK (SPMSUK) was established in 1986, as it was found at the time that not many Indians living in UK had much knowledge about Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel the Iron Man of India.

Over a number of decades it was served well under a number of elected Chair persons and Executive Council members mainly celebrating Sardar Patel’s birth anniversary October 31st, now Known as Rastriya Ekta Divas and also known as National Unity Day, and Death Anniversary better known as Nirvan Day December 15th.

Today SPMSUK holds number of events celebrating Sardar Patel’s legacy along with the forgotten heroes of yester years like Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose , Lala Har Dayal and in time to come shall have many more revelations on our great and good.

SPMSUK will work tirelessly to preserve our cultural and historical values whilst maintaining the ethos and the legacy of Sardar Patel in the present geopolitical games being played world over.

The Executive Council Members are there to serve and engage the society at large in all matters related to the wellbeing of one and all. Each EC member has an important task to innovate, implement and work towards a common cause as a member of a dedicated team.

SPMSUK will endeavour to unite organisations from different communities for with out that unity our survival and cultural identity will disappear within the next decade.

SPCE Mumbai Admission Process

Sardar Patel College of Engineering Mumbai offers admission to a total of 11 courses. The college offers admission to courses at the UG, PG and doctoral levels. Admission to the B.Tech course is done on the basis of the MHT CET or JEE Main entrance examination. Candidates have to appear for the GATE entrance examination to secure admission to the M.Tech course. Admission to the Ph.D course is done on the basis of the entrance examination conducted by Mumbai University. The candidates need to fulfill the eligibility criteria set by the college before applying for admission. Centralised Admission Process (CAP) conducted by DTE, Maharashtra is followed by the college. On the basis of the order of preference given by the applicants and their position in the merit list, considering the reservation policy, allotment of seats is done. The training and placement committee of the Sardar Patel College of Engineering Mumbai is responsible for handling all matters related to the recruitment and training of the students. The objective of the SPCE Mumbai training and placement committee is organising and coordinating industrial visits, internship training and projects of industrial relevance for the students. The training and placement committee carries out individual expert counselling to help the students. Soft skills are taught to the students. Boys Hostel
The college provides accommodation for boys. All basic facilities are provided to the students. The hostels have furnished rooms. The facilities include a solar water heating system, RO purifiers, TV halls, etc. The capacity of the boy’s hostel is 278.
Girls Hostel
Residential facilities are provided to girls. Basic facilities like security, electricity, water supply, internet, etc are provided in the hostels. The capacity of the girl’s hostel is 67.
Medical/Hospital
An agreement has been made with the Lion Kartar Singh Hospital for emergency medical attention and necessary treatment to any student or staff of the college.

The college has well-equipped gym facilities for the students.
Library
