The Institute was set up by the Government of India – Ministry of Textiles as a Registered Society, under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, 1975, vide order of Textile Ministry No.18011/20/2002-NTC dated 3.12.2002 in the premises of the erstwhile NTC Staff College, Coimbatore

ADMISSION PROCEDURE
 Candidates are admitted to the UG courses on the basis of the marks scored in the higher secondary examination and the mark
scored in the CUET or SVPET entrance test.
 Candidates are admitted to the PG courses through CUET/SVPET or any other management entrance test.
Admission Entrance Test:
SVP Entrance Test is an online test with one hour duration having 50 MCQs for both UG & PG courses.

UGQP01
English, Numerical Aptitude / Data Interpretation, Analytical Skills, Reasoning, General Aptitude, and General Knowledge.
Master in Business Administration:
PGQP01 is the paper code for the entrance test conducted for the candidates who have applied for MBA (T/A/R/TT)
English/Verbal Ability: Reading comprehension, verbal reasoning, syllogisms, analogies, antonyms and synonyms, fill in the blanks,
sentence correction, idioms, etc.
Maths/Quantitative Ability: Number systems, geometry, trigonometry, probability, permutation combination, algebra, mensuration, time
and work, averages, percentages, profit and loss, quadratic and linear equations, etc.
Data Interpretation: Interpretation and analysis of data based on text, tables, graphs (line, area), charts (column, bar, pie), Venn diagram,
etc.
Logical Reasoning: Clocks, calendars, binary logic, seating arrangement, blood relations, logical sequence, assumption, premise,
conclusion, linear and matrix arrangement, etc

The PPP is a training module to improve the student’s employability skills.

Before going to the core areas of training the students are given an Introductory session on the need of training towards to become Industry ready, Motivation and the Work values are inculcated through eminent HR personalities from Industry.

The Placement Preparation Program is conducted purely activity based such as:
Mini Projects
Group projects,
Power point presentations
Management Simulations etc.,
to improve their leadership skill, Team work, Cooperation, Managerial Skill and Time Management. Self evaluation is done through written tests, Mock interviews, Extempore, and Structured Group discussions.Separate session for C.V.writing & E-mail etiquette are made.

LEARNING OUTCOME OF THE PROGRAMME
A structured report will be provided for all students to give them an insight of their personality, knowledge level and skills. The PPP will be an eye opener for the students about their required set of Employable Skill. It helps the students to understand and analyze their actual value in the market. They get an opportunity to be exposed to various aspects that require immediate attention.

Library

The Institute has a well-equipped library with a large collection of books on textile and management oriented subjects. WEBOPAC facility is available for browsing all the database of the library. Excluding books, the library is also having a collection of Audio/Video Cassettes, CDROM, Conference proceedings, Project Reports, Back volumes etc. Since this is the only textile Institute which provides Management Studies under Textile field, the Library and Information Center serves the faculty, staff and the students with world-class information related to textile and management studies with good collection of Books, Journals, CD-ROMs, Online resources etc. To enhance the user satisfaction the Library adopts e-granthalaya software in library automation with quality professionals to serve the users.

Auditorium

The college has a spacious and air-conditioned Auditorium with the accommodation of 375 seats. Well-furnished, air conditioned and equipped with modern projection and audio systems for conducting academic events and important meetings of the college. Seminars and conferences are being organized to enhance the knowledge of the students through the talk of experienced, learned and scholarly people which is not possible only through class room teaching. It is a twin edged experience where sharing of views & ideas takes place thereafter formulating the concepts which have global acceptance.

Hostel

Hostel is an integral part of the college campus. The Institution has residence for girls with highly conducive amenities for pleasant living. Excellent hostel facilities ensure free cross ventilation and hygienic environment surrounded by lush green lawns. Hence it can be called home away from the home.
