S.N. Medical College, Agra, named after the first lady Governess of Uttar Pradesh, poetess and freedom fighter, Bharat Kokila Smt. Sarojini Naidu, is situated in the heart of Agra, the famous old city of the Taj Mahal. It is one of the first three Medical Schools of the country.For Agra Medical School, the year 1939 was a year of achievement. With a view to meet the growing demand for qualified doctors in the then United Provinces, the status of Agra Medical School was upgraded to that of a full fledged Medical College affiliated to the Agra University for the award of M.B.B.S. degree.

Today, this college has completed over 60 years of its useful existence dedicated to the cause of Medical Education and Research and in the service of suffering humanity the college motto being ‘LIVE TO SERVE’.This college, soon after its inception, was recognized by the Medical Council of India and the General Medical Council of Great Britain. The first of M.B.B.S. doctors passed out in the year 1944. The hospital attached to the Agra Medical School since 1854 was known as the Thompson Hospital. With the elevation of Agra Medical School to S. N. Medical College, the Thompson Hospital was also rechristened as S.N. Hospital.

Admission Criteria

MBBS Admission

SNMC Agra offers admission to the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). The Minimum eligibility criteria for the MBBS course are that candidates must have passed 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry & Biology with at least 50% marks.Students also need to appear for the NEET UG entrance exam, followed by the Uttar Pradesh NEET‑UG counselling (conducted by DMET, Lucknow) for both State Quota and All‑India Quota. The total fee for the MBBS program is INR 1.8 Lakhs.

MD Admission

SNMC Agra offers admission to the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program in 18 specialisations, such as Social & Preventive Medicine, Microbiology, Forensic Medicine, General Medicine, Paediatrics, Tuberculosis & Respiratory Medicine, Pathology and many more.For admission to the MD program, candidates must have completed an MBBS degree from a recognised College/university. Students also need to appear for the NEET PG entrance examination, followed by UP NEET PG counselling. The total fee for the MD program is INR 90,000.

MS Admission

SNMC Agra offers admission to the Master of Surgery (M.S.) in 8 specialisations, such as Orthopaedics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Pharmacology and many more.For admission to the MS program, candidates must have completed a graduation from a recognised College/university. Students also need to appear for the NEET PG entrance examination, followed by UP NEET PG counselling. The total fees for the MS program are INR 90,000.

PG Diploma Admission

SNMC Agra offers admission to the PG Diploma Course in 11 specialisations such as Child Health, Medical Radio Diagnosis, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Psychiatry, Orthopaedics and many more.For admission to the PG Diploma program, candidates must have completed an MBBS degree with a 1-year rotatory internship. Students also need to appear for the NEET PG exam, followed by UP NEET PG counselling. The total fee for the PG Diploma program is INR 60,000.

Placement & Internship

After completion of the MBBS academic duration, students engage in a one-year rotating internship in the attached hospital across various specialties. PG students have opportunities for further training and placements in government services, hospitals and research.
