SCAD College of Engineering & Technology - SCADCET is Private, Non-Minority, Self-Financing, Co-Education College established in the year 2001. The college aims to impart knowledge, skills, teamwork, innovation, entrepreneurship, courage, responsibility and has been bestowed with a number of awards and recognitions from the technical and non-technical forums. Dr S Cletus Babu is the Chairman, Dr Amali Cletus is Vice Chairman and Shri C Arun Babu is the Managing Director of the College Management.

SCADCET is located at SCAD Nagar, Cheranmahadevi, Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu. It is a serene campus of 150 acres and serves as one of the citadels for Engineering in the southern region. Cheranmahadevi Railway Station is 3 Kms away from the College and Vagaikulam Airport, Thoothukudi is 62 Kms far.

The Central library of SCAD College of Engineering and Technology is located inside the college campus and spreads over 1500 square feet. The Library is spacious and inviting to the college staff & students, providing a pleasant reading atmosphere.The library is well equipped with modern facilities and resources in the form of CD-ROMs, On-line databases, e-journals, e-books, Journals, project reports etc. Huge collections of Books, Journals are available in Engineering, Technology, Science and Humanities. The library has 44646 Volumes of books and subscribes 71 National and International Print Journals and holds membership with NLIST and DELNET.

The department of Physical Education of SCAD College of Engineering Technology has an excellent infrastructure to meet the sporting requirements and regular physical exercise. Bus facilities to the college premises from Tirunelveli Junction, Tirunelveli Town,Pabanasam, Nagercoil, Kalakad, VK Puram , Sankar Nagar, Ambasamudram, Nanguneri , Palayamkottai ,Ramayanpatti and Cheranmahadevi are available. Students are asked to make use of the facility. Students are allowed to travel by college bus with the given bus pass and they have to renew their passes within the due date.

RULES & REGULATIONS

• Every student has to have his/her Bus Pass when travelling in the college bus.
  
• Whenever necessary the students should produce their college Identity Card as well as the Bus Pass
  
• Settle accordingly in the seats allotted.
  
• Travel only in the college bus allotted to you and not in any of the college buses.
  
• Arguing or quarrelling with the any of the staff, students or the drivers in the college bus is strictly prohibited.
