Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute of Technology, popularly known as SDMIT Ujire, is a private engineering institution located in Ujire, Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka. Admission Process

• Candidates can seek admission through K-CET, COMEDK or Management Quota, according to the applicable admission rules.
• Karnataka candidates can participate in K-CET or COMEDK counselling.
• Non-Karnataka candidates generally require a valid COMEDK score and admission through the applicable counselling procedure.
• Management quota admissions are also available subject to the institute's eligibility and selection criteria.
• Candidates should complete document verification, application submission and fee payment after the seat is confirmed.

Eligibility

• Candidates should have passed 10+2/PUC or equivalent with English as one of the languages.
• Physics and Mathematics should be compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Computer Science/Electronics or another prescribed optional subject.
• Minimum 45% aggregate in the prescribed subjects is required for general candidates.
• The minimum is 40% for SC/ST, Category-I and specified Karnataka backward-class categories, as applicable.

The academic library is the real powerhouse of any educational institution and conveys its integral role in supporting the core mission of higher education. SDMIT library is housed in a separate 2-storied building with an area of 1,300 sq.m with modern amenities and facilities. The infrastructure has a centralized facility with a seating capacity of 300 and an open-access system for users. It has 35,000 printed resources of books in 6,651 titles, journals, bound volumes, and student project reports.

2. Students are provided with physical trainers in sports, games, and athletics.

3. The college teams and students regularly participate in various National, State, and University Level competitions.

4. Students may engage themselves during their free hours in any cultural clubs such as Beats, Quiz, Debate, Orators, Dance, etc.

5. Musical instruments are also available for cultural training and practice.

Hostel facility for boys and girls, (with a total capacity of 2140 students) with bath-attached rooms and hygienic food, is available within the campus. The hostel inmates are provided with a gym facility, playground, yoga/prayer hall, reading room, medical care, security, etc.

Hostel rooms are maintained with proper cleanliness, study-friendly surroundings, security, and essential amenities. Dining facilities, internet access, purified drinking water, recreation areas, and comfortable accommodation are available for students.
