SDM Institute of Technology is an ambition driven technological institution situated in Ujire within the homely ambiance of SDM Institutions and the serenity of the Western Ghats. Managed by SDM Educational Society Ujire under the impeccable leadership of Sri. D. Veerendra Heggade, the institution has thrived over the years in the areas of academics, innovation, and extracurricular activities. With more than 1500 students availing quality education every year, the college flaunts a testimony of over 2500 alumni who are exceptionally well placed in the society today. Admission
1. Visit the Admissions Section at SDMIT college campus, meet the Admission Coordinator, and get your documents verified.

2. Once the seat has been confirmed, candidates need to fill in and submit the application form along with the documents specified below, and pay the requisite fee.

3. Applicants are required to read the application form carefully before filling it up. The application is a key part of the admission process. Providing false information/ fake certificates is offensive and such or incomplete applications will be rejected.

4. All admissions are provisional and subject to the final approvals from DTE and University.

Admission to BE courses at SDMIT is made under K-CET (Karnataka-Common Entrance Test), COMEDK (Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka) and Management quota according to the following eligibility and selection criteria. The criteria are in accordance with the Government regulations prevailing at the time of admission. Successful candidates will be required to accept the admission offer immediately and pay the necessary fee. Please note that the management reserves the right to admission and allotment of the branch. Once a candidate has been admitted to a particular course, any request for refund of fees will not be entertained.

Kannada Medium Study Certificate from 1st to 10th std for 10 complete years (If claiming Kannada Medium quota)
Candidate’s Study certificate:

(a) Candidate having studied and passed in one or more Government or Government recognized educational institutions located in the State of Karnataka for a minimum period of 7academic years commencing from 1st standard to 12th standard as on 1st July of the year in which the Entrance Test is held and must have appeared and passed either 10th standard

SDM Institute of Technology has placed thousands of students in various reputed organizations since its inception through on-campus and pool drives. We welcome interactions with reputed organizations from all over the country for arranging campus interviews.

RECRUITING COMPANIES
The placement cell of SDMIT provides complete support to the visiting companies at every stage of the recruitment process. The institute is equipped with arrangements for pre-placement talks, written tests, group discussions and personal interviews, as per the requirements of visiting companies.

Facilities and Infrastructure
Campus life at SDMIT is confidently amongst the best atmospheres an institution can manage to provide for the holistic growth of young minds. The academic growth is firmly rooted in religious, disciplinary, social, and progressive values, as validated by every student who has experienced campus life here. Not only does the campus provide all the facilities required for a student to thrive on intellectual and personal levels, but it also ensures that the students are pushed beyond their boundaries to implement their learning and produce noteworthy outcomes.

Residential Accommodations
Hostel facility for boys and girls, (with a total capacity of 2140 students) with bath-attached rooms and hygienic food, is available within the campus. The hostel inmates are provided with a gym facility, playground, yoga/prayer hall, reading room, medical care, security, etc.

Library
The academic library is the real powerhouse of any educational institution and conveys its integral role in supporting the core mission of higher education. SDMIT library is housed in a separate 2-storied building with an area of 1,300 sq.m with modern amenities and facilities. The infrastructure has a centralized facility with a seating capacity of 300 and an open-access system for users. It has 35,000 printed resources of books in 6,651 titles, journals, bound volumes, and student project reports.

Sports Facilities
1. The Institute has Outdoor and Indoor stadiums apart from regular sports utilities.

2. Students are provided with physical trainers in sports, games, and athletics.

3. The college teams and students regularly participate in various National, State, and University Level competitions.

4. Students may engage themselves during their free hours in any cultural clubs such as Beats, Quiz, Debate, Orators, Dance, etc.

5. Musical instruments are also available for cultural training and practice.

6. Inter-class and Inter-departmental sports and cultural events are regularly conducted in the college.

7. Sports and Fitness facilities, Football/Basketball courts, Gymnasium, and a Swimming pool are also available on the campus.
