Established in 2002, the institute was founded under the leadership of Dr. S.A. Punekar and is managed by the SECAB – Socio Economic Cultural Association. Admission Criteria

B.E Admissions

SECAB Institute of Engineering and Technology (SIET), Bijapur offers four years of regular B.E. course in various specializations. The candidate must secure at least 45 percent marks in the 10+2 examination with Physics and Maths as compulsory subjects from CBSE or equivalent board.

Admission to M.Tech Course

Candidate should have passed the prescribed B.E Degree examination with not less than 50% of aggregate, and in the case of candidates from Karnataka belonging to SC/ST/Cat-I, a minimum of 45% aggregate is required.

Admission to M.B.A Course

Candidate should have passed the Bachelor degree examinations with not less than 50% of aggregate and in case of candidates belonging to schedule cast, schedule tribes and category-I, the aggregate percentage of all the years of qualifying examination shall not be less than 45%.

Ph.D. Admissions

SECAB Institute of Engineering and Technology (SIET), Bijapur also offers a Phd program in various specializations. The candidate must have passed a post-graduation degree to be eligible for the program.

Scholarship

Secab Institute OF Engineering And Technology(SIET), Bijapur scholarship but that will be available for only some cast people and us, only government scholarship that too they used to pay only 50% amount. The college fee was low not too much because this college is minority-based. Per year its costs 45000 INR. I took a minority scholarship and the college staff supported me to take that. I also got a job there. Campus selection is good.

Placement 

The Training & Placement Cell at SECAB Institute of Engineering and Technology, Vijayapur facilitates the process of placement of students passing out from the Institute besides collaborating with leading organizations and institutes in setting up of internship and training program for the students. The Training & Placement Cell liaises with various industrial establishments, corporate houses etc. which conduct campus interviews and select graduating engineering students from all disciplines.

Placement Overview

The Training & Placement Cell provides the infra-structural facilities to conduct group discussions, written tests, and personal interviews besides catering to other logistics requirements. The placement season runs through the course of the year commencing the last week of July through to March. Pre-Placement Talks are also conducted in this regard as per mutual convenience. Job offers, dates of interviews, selection of candidates etc. are announced through the Training & Placement Cell. Pre-placement trainings are conducted by different organizations like, Rubicon, Hyderabad, ExcelR Solutions etc., During pre-placement training students are trained on Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation, coding and problem solving skills . Along with this, students are also trained on Soft skills such as Communication Skills, Group Discussion, Presentation Skills, and Mock interviews are conducted to make students ready to face the interviews. During the Academic Year 2022-23, more than 20+ companies conducted campus hiring process for all the streams of engineering students. Companies like Third Eye Technologies, Technologics Global, Aloha Technology. Acmegrade, Global Logic, First Rate Wealth Tech, Merchant Navy have hired students from our Institute and offered Package up to 6LPA.
