SECAB Institute of Engineering and Technology (SIET) is the brainchild of the visionary and founder of the Institute Sri S.A Punekar. It was established in 2002 and then onwards its fame and name ameliorated to multitudes, making it a prestigious engineering college affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and approved by AICTE. Over the years, SIET evolved and achieved recognition as a notable School of Engineering. Candidate should have passed the prescribed B.E Degree examination with not less than 50% of aggregate, and in the case of candidates from Karnataka belonging to SC/ST/Cat-I, a minimum of 45% aggregate is required.

Admission to M.Tech Course:

Secab Institute OF Engineering And Technology(SIET), Bijapur Placement In the 7th-semester college is conducting campus selection every year. There are lots of companies that come from Bangalore and Pune. The highest package of college till now is 12.8 lacs per annum. The average is 4.1 lacs per annum. approx 75% of students get placed. I am doing a job in the private sector and well settled.

Scholarship

Secab Institute OF Engineering And Technology(SIET), Bijapur scholarship but that will be available for only some cast people and us, only government scholarship that too they used to pay only 50% amount. The college fee was low not too much because this college is minority-based. Per year its costs 45000 INR. I took a minority scholarship and the college staff supported me to take that. I also got a job there. Campus selection is good.

Online access to the e-resource of the Digital Library portals of IEEE, ASME, ASCE, Springerlink. These e-resources are IP enabled, can be accessed anywhere in the campus.
Dspace Open Source Library Software has been installed in the digital library access institutional Repositories.

In the proximity of the library building the institution has set up browsing centre with requisite infrastructure.

Sports

The college provides ample opportunity for the students to take part in all indoor and outdoor sports activities. Sports complex is located adjacent to the college and has facilities for playing and practicing Tennis, Volleyball, Basketball, Badminton Football and Cricket. Our Basketball court is laid to international standards. A well equipped gymnasium including a multi gym is kept open throughout the day. Inter college tournaments, inter class matches and annual athletic meet are regular features in the sports section.
