Sengunthar Engineering College

Sengunthar Engineering College is a private autonomous college which was established in the year 2001 with an aim to accomplish distinction in Engineering and Technological pursuits.  The college was started by the Sengunthar Charitable Trust under the leadership of its Founder T. P. Arumugam, an Indian politician and former Member of the Legislative Assembly of Tamil Nadu.  

Nestled in a sprawling 60-acre green campus with panoramic landscape, near the foothills of Nagagiri, Sengunthar Engineering College is located in Kosavampalayam, Kumaramangalam (po), Tiruchengode, Namakkal, Tamil Nadu.  It is around 30 km away from Erode Railway Station, 3 km from Tiruchengode on the Tiruchengode-Namakkal State Highway. Tiruchengode, a renowned entrepreneurial town is well connected to the important cities like Erode (20Kms), Salem (45Kms), Namakkal (35Kms) and Karur (55Kms).

Sengunthar Engineering College is affiliated with Anna University, Chennai. and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).   The college has received an "A" grade in accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).  It is ranked as one of the top private institutions in India. Sengunthar Engineering College, Tiruchengode offers Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs in the streams of Engineering , IT and Business Management.   The course that are offered include BE/BTech, ME and MBA.  The admission criteria for BE/BTech it is10+2 marks /entrance exam conducted by Assn of Management of Chennai Anna University College. For ME the eligibility is based on TANCET/CET/GATE marks and for MBA it is MAT/TANCET/CET scores.
