Sengunthar Engineering College is a private autonomous college which was established in the year 2001 with an aim to accomplish distinction in Engineering and Technological pursuits.  The college was started by the Sengunthar Charitable Trust under the leadership of its Founder T. P. Arumugam, an Indian politician and former Member of the Legislative Assembly of Tamil Nadu.  

Nestled in a sprawling 60-acre green campus with panoramic landscape, near the foothills of Nagagiri, Sengunthar Engineering College is located in Kosavampalayam, Kumaramangalam (po), Tiruchengode, Namakkal, Tamil Nadu.  It is around 30 km away from Erode Railway Station, 3 km from Tiruchengode on the Tiruchengode-Namakkal State Highway.
