Yercaud, a Jewel of the south is a paradise spread on the Shevaroy Hills of Tamil Nadu, is a hill station in the Eastern Ghats which is located about 4,970 feet above sea level in the northern region of Tamil Nadu. Yercaud is surrounded by abundant trees & plants which obscure the sun which is located near Yercaud Lake, thus the locals started calling as Yeri-Kaadu, meaning "Lake Forest " and later the name was changed to Yercaud.
Nestled amidst this beautiful setting of Shevaroy Hills, you’ll come across Shevaroys Resort, Yercaud. It is known for its orchards of pears and oranges trees and acres of coffee and spice plantations.

There is also a reserve forest, which has the woods and wildlife in the original unexploited state. The forests of Yercaud have an abundance of royal woods like sandal, teak and silver oaks. From wild animals like bison, deer, foxes, mongooses, snakes, squirrels to birds like bulbuls, kites, sparrows and swallows can be found in these forests. Though Yercaud is a hill station, it never gets extreme temperatures which making it easier for the tourists to enjoy the beauty of nature at any time of the year. Apart from sightseeing, tourists can enjoy trekking around Yercaud, and if visiting during the month of May the Summer Festival is a must see which is spectacle with local fairs, boat races, flower blooms and dog shows.

A candidate must fulfill below selection criteria for admission to Shevaroys College of Hotel Management & Catering Technology:

Basic of Selection: The selection of the candidates for admission to all courses will be made on basis of the merit and must appear for the Entrance Exam.
Entrance Test: Date and venue of entrance test will be intimated by the respective departments on a later stage and the test will contain objective type (Multiple Choice) questions.
Medical Fitness: A Candidate must be medically fit for the course
The completed application form should be submitted along with photo copies of the following:

10th /SSLC marks certificate
10 + 2 / PUC marks certificate
Transfer Certificate
Conduct Certificate
Migration Certificate
Aadhar Card Copy
Six recent passport size photographs and six stamp-sized photographs
Upper age limit : 22 years

Food Production Lab
The College is equipped with state of the art kitchen laboratories with all modern equipments for the students to practice the trade efficiently and more effectively
Having two training Kitchen exclusively for practicing international cuisine by final year students
Having one food production lab to practice Indian cuisine and bulk cooking techniques and also having additional one more Quantity Training Kitchen for staff lunch preparation and bulk cooking for events.
Having one Garde Mange Kitchen to practice vegetable carvings, salads, cold cuts etc.


Bakery & Confectionary
The Shevaroys has well-equipped bakery and confectionary department in wide area of 700 sq feet.
The bakery can accommodate around 25 students per session with all the basic equipments for enrich their art in baking.
The confectionary depart teaches the students the art of chocolate and sugar work for final year students


CLASS ROOMS
The college is equipped with 10 class rooms which are well ventilated, maintained with contemporary furniture & other modern aminities
Smart class rooms equipped with LCD projectors & screen, and Wi-Fi connectivity for audio visual presentations etc.
Well-equipped board room with audio visual technologies for meetings and interviews
A well-equipped auditorium with 250 pax capacity for students’ gatherings, meetings, events etc.

Food & Beverage Service Lab
In this department the students are trained to serve Food and Beverage to the guest in the Training Restaurant
Training Restaurant for First year students will help them to learn the basics in service style and sequence along with the grooming sessions
Advance training restaurant which is equipped with bar, provides training for the students of second year and final year to learn the mixing and oenology styles.

The Front Office Lab
Our Mock Front Office department as per the hotel style offers a real hotel atmosphere for the students
The office is well equipped with all the necessary sectors as like in a real world hotel operation.

Accomodation Operation Lab
This is heart of hospitality department which deals with the guest rooms and public area service
The college is equipped with Mock Guest Rooms for the students to have hands on training
College is also equipped with practical lab with all the modern facility and appliances

Library
Shevaroys provides library with more than 200 copies covering different disciplines.
We also provide International and National journals for our students to enrich their knowledge
Each student will be issued a Library Card and books can be borrowed on return basis
The college also provide common High Tech library for our students to venture into outside world.

Students recreation
Shevaroys college offers wide range of recreation activity for the students on and off the campus
The campus is equipped with fitness center, indoor auditorium, recreation hall and fitness center
A variety of outdoor and indoor games are available for the students in the college campus. Collage mandates each of its students to participate in some game or sports every evening after the classes for minimum of an hour
During weekends, movies are screened for the students in our modern convention center
Often we conduct treking expedition on the hills. The second year students take the in charge of cooking and serving food for the first, third year & M.B.A. Students in the wilderness. It is a unique exercise for Team Work and fitness of body, mind and soul

Computer Labs
The College is equipped with high class computers which allows close to 25 students to practice individually.


Hostel
Hotel management department is attached with separate hostel for boys and girls
The hostel is situated inside the campus with sharing facility
The hostel also provide Indian and South Indian cuisine
Recreation is also provided for the students
