Admission Procedure

Admission to Shillong Medical College (NEIGRIHMS) is based on merit, requiring a candidate to first qualify for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) for MBBS or other relevant NEET exams for postgraduate courses, followed by the online application and counselling process through the DME (Directorate of Medical Education) Online Admission Portal managed by the state government

Shillong Medical College is a newly established government medical college. Since the first batch has recently started, formal campus placements are not yet available. After completing the degree, graduates are eligible for postgraduate entrance exams in India and abroad and can also apply for government and private hospital jobs. From Guwahati, students and visitors can take a state run bus or hire a shared taxi to reach Shillong. Within the city, local taxis and buses are the main modes of transport for commuting to and from the college and other places.
