Shivani Engineering College (SEC) is a Top Class, Premier Engineering College in Tiruchirapalli. The College was established in the year 2009 as part of the Shivani Group of Institutions by Dr P Selvaraj, Founder & Chairman. The purpose of establishing the college was to provide quality Technical Education and Training to students from all backgrounds. The College also aims to provide holistic education and develop students' personalities, helping them become well-rounded citizens
SEC is located on a sprawling 40 Acre Green Campus on the Trichy-Dindugal National Highway, Poolangulathupatti, Srirangam Taluk, Tiruchirapalli, Tamilnadu. The nearest Transportation Hubs are the Trichy Bus Stand and Trichy Railway Station, both of which are approximately at a distance of 18 Kms from the College Campus.

The College is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai It is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), New Delhi.

Shivani Engineering College offers 6 B.E and 2 B.Tech Course options and has an approved capacity of 360 Students per intake. Fee is as prescribed by the State Level Fee Committee. The College has the facility of Scholarships for needy and deserving Students, based on Meritorious Academic Performance, Backward and Schedule Caste background status, Minority Scholarship as well as Agricultural Background based assistance.

Shivani Engineering College, Tiruchirappalli

The Library is functioning in a separate building having a built-up area of 2000 Sqm and it has a seating capacity of 216. The library has more than 62,000 volumes of books covering all disciplines of Engineering and Technology, Science & Humanities and Management. The library has an extensive collection of books and is augmented on a continuous basis. The library subscribes to popular periodicals, national and international journals. A large number of CD-ROMs and audio cassettes are a supplementary digital resource offered. The library provides On-line access to a large number of journals from IEEE, ASME, ASCE, and Springer & INFORMS.

This center serves the campus-wide LAN in close association with the user departments. This LAN caters to totally 400 users across the campus and has a 10 Gbps fiber optic backbone . It has a Printer room equipped with 10 high-speed A4 and A3 Network Laser/DOT MatrixPrinters(Mono and Color). The centre is maintained by the Computer Support Group (CSG). The Server has Highly efficient multi-node chassiswith shared power and cooling components, giving you the ability to mix and match server nodes, and also allows for single node serviceability (SNS).

Transport

Adequate transport facilities are being provided for the benefit of students and staff coming from various outskirts of the city. Around 25 college buses ply to transport the students from various places like Trichy town, REC/BHEL, Manapparai, K.K Nagar and Lalgudi. In addition to the Punctual service, the college transport also ensures the safety and security of the students.
