Shree Satyam College of Engineering and Technology (SSCET) is a well-established institution offering undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses. Founded in July 2011 by the Shree Sathyam Educational Trust, the college was established with the vision to empower students from rural areas through quality education and research. Dr V Balakrishnan is its Hon. Chairman and Prof. Dr. V. Sujatha. M.E.,Ph.D is the Founder and Principal.

Shanmuganathan Engineering College’s 'Library and Information Centre' is a hub of knowledge, providing students with access to the latest resources and technologies that meet international standards. The library houses an extensive collection of 37,377 volumes, spread across 8,244 titles, ensuring that students have access to a wide variety of academic material.To keep students updated with current research and developments, the library subscribes to 42 national and 42 international journals. Additionally, students can access over 850 online journals and e-publications, offering a comprehensive digital resource platform. For broader reading, major newspapers and 700 back volumes of journals are also available.

Shanmuganathan Engineering College boasts impressive and aesthetically pleasing buildings that capture the attention of those passing by on the national highway. Each department is housed in its own separate block, complete with spacious classrooms designed for optimal comfort and learning. Hostel

Students wishing to reside in the hostel must submit a formal application using the prescribed form, which should be handed over to the hostel warden. The hostel offers a disciplined and supportive environment where students can focus on their academic and personal growth. Below are some key rules and regulations that all hostel residents must follow:

Students must pay the full hostel fee before joining. Failure to do so will result in denial of accommodation. Payment in installments is not allowed, and students are expected to clear all dues in advance.Students are generally allowed to return home only when the college is closed for two consecutive days or more. Those going out for day trips to the city or returning to their hometown for holidays must register their departure and expected return times in the hostel logbook.Study hours in the hostel are from 06:30 p.m. to 07:30 p.m. and from 08:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. except on Saturdays. During this time, students are required to remain in their rooms, focusing on their academic work, and avoid group discussions. Net hours are from 06:00 p.m. to 07:30 p.m.
