The SIES Arts, Science and Commerce College was inaugurated on 20^th of June 1960 by Shri Y. B. Chavan, the first Chief Minister of Maharashtra to serve the ever-growing educational needs of students from North and Central Mumbai Suburbs, and was the gift of the South Indians in Mumbai to the then newly-born State of Maharashtra. The Commerce Stream at the Degree level was started in 1980-81. Affiliated to the University of Mumbai, the college has an impressive strength of over 4,000 students drawn from all sections of this cosmopolitan city.

Excellent results at various University and Board examinations, and coveted awards and merit positons bagged by the students have placed the S.I.E.S. College among the most outstanding institutions in the city. The college has attained its position due to committment and dedication of Principals like Prof. A. B. Shah (1960-63), Prof. Ram Joshi (1963-77), who later became the Vice-Chancellor, University of Mumbai, Prof. P. S. Ramaswamy (1977-87), Prof. K. M. Apte (1987-89), Prof. S. Ramanathan (1989-1996), Prof. V. Padmanaban (1996-2003), Prof. R. Gopalkrishnan (in charge Principal 2003-2005), Dr. Harsha Mehta (2005-2016) and unstinted support from their competent and highly qualified colleagues who have given their very best to the students and to the institution.

This illustrious line is continued with the appointment of Dr. Uma Shankar as the Principal of the college with effect from 1^st September 2016. The students of the college, with their exemplary discipline, serious academic, extra and co-curricular pursuits and excellent rapport with their teachers, have greatly contributed to make this college a name to reckon with in academics and other fields.

Admission Process:

Established in 1960, SIES College of Arts, Science and Commerce is a South Indian Education Society, a charitable institution located in Nerul Navi Mumbai. It is affiliated to the University of Mumbai. The college offers various UG and PG courses viz. B. Com., B.M.S., B. Sc., B.M.M., M.Com., M. Sc. in multiple specializations.

• Students can apply for admissions to SIES College of Arts, Science, and Commerce via online mode by creating an account and registering themselves on its official site.
• Candidates must have qualified 10+2 from a recognized board to seek admissions in any UG course.
• For PG courses, candidates must possess undergraduate degree in the concerned discipline.
• The average percentage in 10+2 or in graduation is different for different course for admissions.
• Selection of eligible candidates in all courses will be based on merit in the last qualifying exam.
• Merit list will be prepared by the college authorities based on which seats will be allotted.?

SIES College of Arts, Science, and Commerce Application Process 2023

Candidates can apply for under graduation as well as post-graduation courses via online mode from the official website of SIES College of Arts, Science, and Commerce. Application process is elaborated below step wise:

• Candidates need to register themselves by creating an account on the official website of the college.
• Log in with the created username and password and then click on the link “Application form 2023”.
• Fill in all the prompted personal as well as academic details in the form.
• Candidates require scanned copy of the following documents in JPG or PNG format to upload at the time of form fill up:

1.   Marksheets of all academic qualifications (10 and 10+2 marksheets for UG students and all the previous semester marksheets for PG students)

2.   Candidate’s recent passport size photograph with light background.

3.   Candidate’s scanned signature with white background only.

• While in the process of filling up the respective application form 2023, candidates are recommended not to use the refresh tab until it is successfully submitted.?

Government Open Merit Scholarship:- Student Who Have Scored 60% And Above In HSC Examination.

Non-Hindi Merit Scholarship:- Junior College & Degree College Students Who Have Scored 60% And Above In SSC Or HSC Examination And 65% Or Above In Hindi.

Physics & Maths Merit Scholarship:- Students Who Have Scored Above 60% In HSC As Well As Above 60% In Physics And Maths.

Eklavya Scholarship:- Students Getting Minimum Of 70% & Above In Graduation (B.Sc) Examination & Total Family Income Not More Than Rs. 75000/-. Also MSc – II Students Applied For Renewal The Scholarship Forms With Hold Minimum 50% Marks In MSc – I Examination.

Post Matric Scholarship:- Sikh, Muslim, Budha, Parsi, Jain & Christian Students Can Apply For This Scholarship On The Website www.scholarships.gov.in.

§  50% And Above In SSC / HSC / Graduation.

§  Family Income Not More Than Rs. 200000.

§  Applicants Are Staying More Than 15 Years In Maharashtra.

§  Students Are Not Availing Any Other Scholarship.

§  Scholarship Will Not Be Given To More Than 2 Pupil In The Family.

Central Sector Scholarship: Degree College Students Securing 60% And More Can Apply For This Scholarship On Website  www.scholarships.gov.in.

SC / OBC / SBC / VJNT Scholarship / Freeship:- For SC Students Income Ltd Not More Than 200000 & More Than Rs. 200001 & Above But Less Than Rs. 450000 Have Apply For The Scholarship / Freeship. OBC / SBC / VJNT Students Income Ltd. For Scholarship Rs. 100000 & Rs. 100001 It Is Gone To Freeship. Income Ltd For Apply The Scholarship / Freeship Of Rs. 450000.

Girls Freeship For Junior College All Junior College Girl Students Are Compulsory Apply This Scholarship.

Ex-Servicemen / STC / PTC Scholarship: Those Junior & Degree College Students Who Come Under This Category Can Apply For This Scholarship.

Economically Backward Class Scholarship: Those Students Family Income Not More Than Rs. 100000 They May Apply This Scholarship.
