In to broad vision, the management has selected Kappiyampuliyur for the establishment of this college of Arts and Science. The place is a pucca village surrounded by a number of villages. So students of these places need not go to faraway places to prosecute higher studies. This is a great boon to them.

In June 2011, we are to open a new course (P.G) Master of Social Work. Also there is heavy demand for the B.A.English and Computer Science Courses. To comply with the demands of the public, an additional section in the B.C.A. course will be opened in June 2011.It is interesting that the villagers of this area to keep pace with the modern trend.

In the interest of the students, a tutorial system has been arranged and 25 students are entrusted to each faculty member who will look after the attendance, character, and progress in study of the students. Weak students are also picked up and special attention is paid on them. Also Model Examinations just before the university exam is conducted so that students can face the university exam without difficulty.

Parents – Teacher Meet is held every year and the parents are appraised of the position and the progress of the students and the remedial measures are suggested to the parents.

Library
Library is the backbone of learning. Knowing the importance of library , our college has been continuously updating the library with new books and magazines. The College library has a collection of about 7000 books. We make available various books, journals, magazines and leading newspapers. There are many books on TNPSC and NET Competitive examinations to benefit students to prepare for the competitive examinations. Reading is encouraged among the students by awarding the reader with “BEST LIBRARY USER” award. The library is with enough space, more light and air. The computer and internet facilities are now available to the teachers, students and the library staff within the library itself.

Hostel
A well maintaining hostel separately for boys and girls with all the facilities is available in the campus itself.

Staff
The management has permitted and provided continuous support to the faculties to do their Ph.D at various Universities. Faculties attempt to produce promising outcomes in teaching practices and they are recommended to attend Seminars, Workshops , National and International conferences. Departmental activities and workshops are conducted by various departments to exhibit the talent of the students.

Physical Education
The Department of Physical Education, with a Physical Director and a Directress, has extended its activities to bring credit to the college by arranging participation of our students in all sorts of Sports and Games at various places.The Management encourages the students who excel in Sports by providing Free Education. Students participate in the Intra Mural/District/Division/Inter-Division and All India Inter-University level matches every year. And also students from various departments participate in All India Inter University Matches as representatives of Thiruvalluvar University every year. We give constant encouragement to the students who are interested in sports.

Students are trained in all sorts of games like Cricket, Volleyball, Handball, Hockey, Badminton, Tennis, Basketball, Chess, Karate and Athletics. The uniqueness of our college sports students is that they played for University level matches and received Form 3 certificate. They are benefited by this certificate and many students are placed in Police Department, Fire Service, Post office, Railway, etc. Physical Education department aims to develop the physical as well as moral strength of the students. It teaches the students – Social skills, Physical fitness, Resourcefulness, Team work and Stress tolerance.

Transport
For the convenience of the Students, the management has arranged separate buses for boys and girls to take them to the college from various nearly place.
