Sipna Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, established in the year 1995, aims to impart higher & technical education to the enthusiastic youths and envision them for a better tomorrow.

    Since its inception, SSPM has been successfully running undergraduate and postgraduate courses in emerging areas through Sipna’s Arts, Science & Commerce college, Chikhaldara, Sipna College of Engineering & Technology, Amravati and Sipna School of planning and Architecture, Amravati affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati. We have already marched towards various Postgraduate, Management and Research Programs.

The Sipna College of Engineering & Technology (SCOET) was started in July 1999 to provide professional education to the students in the region and around. The college is located in Amravati, an educational hub of Maharashtra.

Sipna College of Engineering & Technology is an unaided Engineering college approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati (Maharashtra).

  The Institute is accredited by IAO and Certified by ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001:2015(Environment Management System) & ISO 17025:2005

National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC) accreditation is another feather in the cap for the institution and it has received an ‘A+’ Grade. We are the first institute in Maharashtra to get accredited under the new scheme- 2018. Under the AICTE Margadarshan scheme, Sipna College of Engineering & Technology, Amravati is “A Mentee Institute” of College of Engineering, Pune (COEP). To enhance the Industry Institute Interaction and to build   a strong rapport with Industry, Sipna C.O.E.T has got the membership of Confederation of Indian Industry (C.I.I), the most reputed Industry Organization. We are proud to say that Sipna C.O.E.T is the only Institute in Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University who is a member of C.I.I. C.I.I is a non- government, not- for- profit, industry-led and industry-managed organization, playing a proactive role in India’s development process. Recently, one more laurel has been won by the institute as its three UG programs viz.,Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering & Information Technology are reaccredited by National Board of Accreditation(N.B.A.).

Sipna's College of Engineering and Technology, Amravati is a private institute which is affiliated to SGBAU, Amravati and approved by AICTE. The college offers B.E. course in diverse disciplines at the undergraduate level and offers Ph.D courses at the doctoral level. Admission to the B.E. course will be done based on the candidate's performance in MHT CET/ JEE Main. Companies like Tata, Mahindra, Infosys, and many more companies offer internships and stipends. There are many projects of making websites, making small apps etc.

Eligibility Conditions and Requirements for Admissions 2023-24 

(1) Maharashtra State Candidature Candidates. –

1. The Candidate should be an Indian National;
2. Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies and obtained at least 45 % marks (at least 40 % marks, in case of Backward Class categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability category candidates belonging to Maharashtra State), in the above subjects taken together; and the Candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in CET and should obtain non zero score in CET conducted by the Competent Authority;

OR

1. Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 45 % marks (at least 40 % marks, in case of Backward Class categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability category candidates belonging to Maharashtra State)

(2) All India Candidature Candidates, Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Union Territory of Ladakh Migrant Candidature Candidates. –

1. The Candidate should be an Indian National;
2. Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies and obtained at least 45 % marks (at least 40 % marks, in case of Backward Class categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability category candidates belonging to Maharashtra State) in the above subjects taken together; and should obtain non zero positive score in JEE (Main) B.E./B.Tech or the candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in CET and should obtain non zero score in CET conducted by the Competent Authority. However preference shall be given to the candidate obtaining non zero positive score in JEE (Main) B.E./B.Tech over the candidates who obtained non zero score in CET;

Training & Placement Cell

Training & Placement Cell looks after for Career Planning, Personality Development, Industry-Institute Interaction, Summer Implant Training, Industrial Visits, Entrepreneurship Development, and Guest Lectures & Campus Interviews. To Cater Personality Development aspect of Students, this cell organizes different types of Guest Lectures & Training Activities.

Industry Institute interaction is done through this training & placement cell which provides Industry exposure to the students. In vacation period implant training & industrial tour is organized by the cell through which the students get practical industrial experience. To fulfill the technical human resource demand of industry this cell continuously interact with the industry and organize on campus placement activities for the eligible students, through which students get final placement in the Industry.

Continuous interaction of the cell with the Alumina also helps in achieving the above goals & motivating students to contribute in this direction. This cell has facility of Lingua Phone Laboratory which helps students to improve English Language & Communication Skill. Extra Curricular Activities like Mock Practices & Demonstrations on Group Discussion, Interview Techniques, Communication Skill, Personality Development & Aptitude Development is carried out throughout the year for third and final year Students with the help of Respective Students’ Committees of the different Departments.  To improve the efficiency of Faculties Special Training Program for Faculty is organize in summer and winter semester on key areas like TIME Management, STRESS Management, Teaching Techniques, Communication Skill and Total Quality Management (T.Q.M.) by well-known agencies. A Special Training Program for third and final year Students is regularly organized in summer vacation under the department. Students are trained on Aptitude Test, G.D., P.I. and Communication Skill. Mock Aptitude Tests were also conducted as Students’ practice session.

Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students

The Scheme is in operational since 2008. The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to the meritorious students having family income of less than Rs.4.5 lakh per annum, to meet a part of their day-to-day expenses while pursuing higher studies. Annual target is 82000 scholarships per year (41000 for boys and 41000 for girls) which has been divided amongst the State Education Boards based on the State’s population in the age group of 18-25 years.
