Rules & Regulations

The scholarship shall remain valid over the semesters (for semester scheme programs of study) and years (for annual scheme programs of study), unless the performance of the student falls below the desired level or any disciplinary action has been taken against the student for any reason and as would be decided by the respective Head of the Department and intimated to the office of Registrar and the Vice Chancellor.

Once, the student has been granted any one of the above scholarship schemes and has availed such, he or she will not be able to apply for any other scholarship schemes, including Government Departments, Corporates etc. Reversely, the Students availing any Scholarship (Government Departments, Corporates etc.) will not allowed applying above scholarships.

All such scholarship shall necessarily need to be approved by the Vice Chancellor through the Scholarship Approval Committee, before being offered. Final Grant is solely at the discretion of the University.

Placement

Sister Nivedita University (SNU) boasts a strong placement record, with more than 95% of students securing positions in reputed companies such as Amazon, TCS, Wipro, Microsoft, Infosys, and Deloitte. Students become eligible for campus placements from the fifth or sixth semester. In 2023, the highest package was reported at 51 LPA, while the average package ranged from 5 to 6 LPA.

Approximately 200 companies visit the campus annually, offering a variety of roles and competitive salaries. Internships are also a significant part of the opportunities provided, with stipends ranging from 15K to 25K per month. While the university is relatively new, having been established in 2017, it maintains a robust placement cell that organizes regular training and skill development programs to prepare students for the job market.

We have an amphitheatre that is equipped with a convertible stage for organising theatre and prize distributions. We have a state of art seminar hall and multiple boardrooms for meeting and discussion. The students can access the library that has online and offline resources. The cafeteria and canteen along with the basketball court ensures the all-round development and access of the student to different necessities. The classrooms are equipped with projectors to ensure smart learning for the students. We have a fully functional music room, moot court and an upcoming annexe building which has the plan of a fully equipped auditorium.

The students have set-up various clubs to ensure full academic, social and spiritual potential to sustain and nurture the spirit of the university. The clubs encourage students to actively engage in curricular and extra – curricular activities within the campus. These initiatives foster leadership development and compliment classroom learning. The club provides indoor as well as outdoor education through organising workshops, seminars, debate competition, conference and opportunities to explore nature through programs like camps, excursions, trips, etc.

Hostel

We acknowledge the need of creating a campus that provides an interactive, healthy, hygienic and academic-oriented environment for the students. The hostels are gender segregated and independent. The entire hostel facility is maintained by professional housekeeping and maintenance agencies. They agency has been deployed for pest control using bio degradable and eco-friendly chemicals that does not hamper the environment. Their work is monitored and reported. A 24x7 security system, using male and female guarding staff is deployed. Students from different backgrounds are treated with respect and dignity at SNU.

SNU transport services (SNU Bus) have a well planned route covering all the parts of the city.
