Our Sree Amman Arts and Science College was established in the year 1992 in pursuit of value based education and travels towards the excellence in all spheres of academic advancement culminating in apt employability.

Location
Sree Amman Arts and Science College is ideally situated in a lovely campus, amidst lush green atmosphere in about a distance of 7 kms from Erode city. Located on a hillock, the college lies in a calm and serene environment which is on the NH-47 roads.

To nurture excellence in teaching pedagogy, learning, creativity and research, translate knowledge into practice, foster multidisciplinary research across arts, science and humanities. MISSION
To achieve 100% placement for students through dedication, attitude and complete involvement is our mission. Training and Placement Cell arranges and coordinates various programmes that aim at moulding the students so as to meet the industry expectations in career building and in turn bring laurels to the parent institution. The Training and Placement Cell, guided by a set of rules and principles, strives to maintain good relationship with industries. Preparing the recruitment schedule for the year, inviting corporations for preplacement talks on the campus followed by final placements, and overseeing the process to its end, is the responsibility of the Training and Placement Cell. The Cell endeavours to carry out successfully all the processes methodically throughout the year.

Soft Skills Training
Considering the importance of aptitude skills and soft skills in any organization, there is a huge demand for professionals who are industry ready. One of the major responsibilities of any Placement Cell is to organize sessions to train students on analytical, logical, verbal and critical reasoning, problem-solving and time-saving techniques along with English verbal and language adaptability

Personality Development
Personality development is one of the most crucial aspects of training sessions, the University Placement Cell organizes a series of tests and workshops to help students discover their potential and analyze their shortcomings. It trains students to deal with challenging situations at work and motivates them by conducting various workshops on how to increase their self-esteem.

Personal Interview
Your final selection depends on the personal interview round, hence, the Placement Cell helps with the preparation, increasing your chances of getting hired. The Placement Cell instructs and coaches students on required interview skills which are related to dress code, confidence, creativity, ability to react and respond, and handle stressful situations

Library
The Department Library occupies a unique place in academic and research activities of the Department. It is perhaps the most important central facility provided by the Institute. The Library was started in 1992 with around 976 Volumes, now it has around 14030 Volumes. The Library maintains an excellent collection of data books, occasional papers and other documents/materials. The Library has a well equipped facility for reading.

Classroom

The backbone of any college’s infrastructure is the classroom. There should be adequate classrooms and it should look pleasant with good painting and decorations. The front wall should have an appropriate blackboard. The wall should have built in cupboards for keeping books and others important things.

A college is actually a home away from home for any student. During student life most of the waking hours of any student are spent at college, learning anything and everything in various dimensions from books, teachers, peers and even college environs.

There is no denying how significant a college is in shaping up a student’s personality and holistic learning process. Like an experienced teacher and teaching pedagogy play a critical role in shaping students’ academic lives, infrastructure is also vital. It creates a favourable environment for students’ holistic development. It’s a common knowledge that every parent wants to spend money where their kids feel safe and secure while learning and enjoying their student life. They wish to ensure the colleges have ample safety standards and facilities to make learning a joy.

There are studies suggesting students in colleges with poor infrastructure can have lower scores than those with access to better infrastructure facilities. This makes college infrastructure a key element in a child’s academic as well as holistic growth

Laboratory

A spacious laboratory, equipped with microscopes, incubator shaker, single beam spectrophotometer and laminar air flow. The laboratory also contains fully computerised lab scale Fermentor (Sartorius) and an advanced fully computerised Gas chromatography system which is being used to carry out research in the field of metabolite production from microbial biomass.


Computer Center
Well-equipped computer centre with latest MNC machines functioning in the campus. The students are provided with sufficient lab hours.

Auditorium

Sree Amman Arts and Science College firmly believes in providing its student’s exposure to national and international knowledge experts, through regular National and International conferences / symposia and workshops hosted on campus. It is with this view that a wide choice of modern conference facilities have been meticulously planned and incorporated into the SAASC campus.

Seminar Hall
The Seminar Hall with Audio/Video facility and adequate seating capacity to accommodate Cultural and social functions, where students get the opportunity to express themselves in competitions and various other cocurricular activities. This provides a platform for students to connect with guest speakers, renowned architects and other professionals for their overall growth and development.

Cafeteria
A variety of south Indian food and snack items are provided to the students and staff of the college with highest quality. The canteen and the surroundings are always kept neat and tidy. Plastic bags are not permitted inside the campus

Hostel
The college provides hostel facilities in lush green surroundings with a very pleasant natural atmosphere which is yet another home for the students. The facility provided for the students makes them feel at home during their course of staying in the hostel, which is the prime quality of the institution.

Mess
A Pure High Class Mess is functioning in the hostel.
For the preparation of quality, delicious and nutritious food the mess is provided with modern kitchen equipments like Vegetable cutting machine, steamers and boilers, dough kneading machine and grinders
Educational Activities
To enrich the student’s knowledge, newspapers, magazines and weeklies are provided
Sports equipments are provided to encourage the students in sports. Facilities for indoor games are available inside the hostel campus
Recreational
Audio system is played in mess hall during meal times and also in the evening for relaxation.
Television with multi-channels is provided
To entertain and engage the student’s in a useful venture, the institution arranges hostel trip every year.

Transport
The Institution owns 25 buses and it is operated in and around Erode District for the benefit of our students. Safe and comfortable journey is assured by the department of transport through out the year.Bus stops are fixed after thorough survey of the situation and any future request for a change would be considered only on valid grounds acceptable to the college
