Sree Sakthi Engineering College (Autonomous) SSEC was established in the year 2010. It is a division of the Sree Sakthi Charitable Trust, founded by Shri. N.Dharmalingam, Chairman and Dr. S. Karthikeyan, Correspondent of Sree Sakthi Charitable trust. Both are known philanthropists with the goal of providing education to all, particularly focusing on underserved and rural communities. Widely recognized as “Coimbatore’s No.1 Industry Integrated Campus at Karamadai,” the institution offers numerous opportunities for students to develop extracurricular skills while shaping them into holistically well-groomed, accomplished individuals. Coimbatore Junction Railway Station is around 27 Kms from the College, while Coimbatore International Airport is 22 Kms away.

Sree Sakthi Engineering College is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The University Grants Commission (UGC) conferred Autonomous Status on the College in 2019. National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accredited the College. The College is ranked 38th among all India self-financing engineering colleges and 48th among all India engineering institutions by The Times of India. It was also Ranked 6th for placements by Anna University in 2019 and is the First Engineering College in India to launch its own satellite.

Admission Process

Admission to the B.E. programs at SSEC is conducted through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counseling process. Candidates are required to register for TNEA, after which a merit list is prepared, and counseling sessions are held for seat allocation

• Pass in the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
• Candidates should have obtained a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in the above subjects. A relaxation of 5% is applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories.
• Candidates who have completed a Diploma in Engineering and Technology are also eligible to apply for lateral entry into the second year of the B.E. programs
