is a co-educational, autonomous, self-financing college located in Pollachi, Coimbatore district, Tamil Nadu. The institution was established on 22 October 1997 by the V.S.V. Vidyaa Mandir Trust with the objective of providing quality higher education to rural and urban youth in and around Pollachi and other parts of Tamil Nadu. The trust was formed by philanthropists P.M. Thyagarajan, M.K. Arumugam and D. Sivaraman, while Rtn. S. Venkkatesh is identified by the college as the founder Chairman and Managing Trustee. STC aims to provide quality education while developing students' knowledge, skills, values, leadership, employability and social responsibility.

Sree Saraswathy Thyagaraja College is located at Palani Road, Thippampatti, Pollachi, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu – 642107. The campus is positioned on the Pollachi–Palani Road and is accessible from Pollachi and surrounding areas. At present, the competition for employment is rising every day and placement has become a demanding chore. Training of students and equipping them with life skills has become an important responsibility of the STC. To meet out these requirements, a fully fledged training cell is operating under CTPC in our college to enhance the capabilities of under and post graduates on par with the corporate standards.

Sree Saraswathy Thyagaraja College has a 26.74-acre green campus with four major blocks including the Main Building, VSV Advanced Learning Centre, Sports Complex and Hostels Complex. The institution provides modern classrooms, laboratories, computer facilities, Wi-Fi connectivity, seminar halls, auditorium facilities and student-oriented infrastructure. The college has 11 computer laboratories with 842 computers, while the campus infrastructure is designed to support teaching, practical learning, research and extracurricular activities.

Hostels in the academic institutions are the epicentre of the dynamics of the campus life. The main objective of running hostels is to facilitate the students drawn from far flung areas to pursue their studies in a homely atmosphere. There are separate Hostels available for Boys and girls. The rooms are well furnished with Wi-Fi connectivity. The Common Room in the Hostels provide the inmates recreational facilities such as Carom, Chess etc., and a separate TV apart from the leading newspapers and magazines subscribed in the hostel. Moreover, the Hostel In-charge plays an active role in maintaining good discipline and in overall students personalities by organizing various activities promoting the values of brother hood and fraternity among the students.

Each department has got its own students association. These associations through their various activities aim at bringing out the talents and skills of students in their domain. These associations conduct several inter-and-intra departmental activities and persons of eminence are also invited to deliver lecturers to enrich academic knowledge and inculcate virtues and values in the minds of the students. The college's Management is committed to providing excellent  infrastructural facilities and STC management has spent a lot on building the  facilities required for academic and administrative purposes.

STC provides separate hostel facilities for boys and girls.
