Sri Kaliswari College (Autonomous), commonly known as SKC, is a self-financing, co-educational Arts and Science college located in Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu. The institution was established in 2000 by the Sri Kaliswari Trust to meet the growing need for higher education among students from rural areas around Sivakasi. The founding members of the trust envisioned providing value-based higher education and empowering rural youth through knowledge, discipline and academic excellence. The present management is headed by A. N. Shenbagamoorthy, Chairman.

Sri Kaliswari College is located at A. Meenakshipuram, Anaikuttam Post, Sivakasi, Virudhunagar District, Tamil Nadu – 626130. The college initially started in Sivakasi and moved to its present larger campus at A. Meenakshipuram, approximately 7 km from Sivakasi, in March 2001. The main campus covers approximately 17.5 acres, with a built-up area of about 25,671 sq. metres. Its rural setting provides a spacious and green academic environment while remaining accessible from Sivakasi and surrounding areas.

Sri Kaliswari College is an autonomous college affiliated with Madurai Kamaraj University. It received UGC recognition under Sections 2(f) and 12(B) and was granted autonomous status in 2012. The college received NAAC 'B++' Grade in 2007, followed by 'A' Grade with CGPA 3.30 in the second cycle in 2013, and retained 'A' Grade with CGPA 3.11 in the third cycle in 2018. Its autonomous status has been extended for the period 2022–23 to 2032–33. The institution is also ISO 9001:2015 certified and participates in AISHE and NIRF-related activities.

All girls residents of the hostel are provided rooms on a triple sharing basis Each room is provided with tube lights, fans and cots. Each floor of the hostel has separate bathroom and toilet facilities. . Dining, washrooms, lobby, terrace, etc. are provided Air Conditioned Smart Classroom is the ultimate self-service presenter-friendly environment conducive to the teaching / learning process. Resources that faculty require are permanently placed in simple, easy-to-use configurations. Collaborative learning environment, simple, friendly and non-intimidating classroom technology inspires the presenters who rely on improvisation, spontaneity and audience participation.

The Reverse Osmosis Plant installed in the Sri Kaliswari College caters to the drinking water needs of all the Students, Teachers, supporting Staff and the Visitors. The raw water with an average Total Dissolved Solids [TDS] of 750-1000 ppm is treated to reduce the TDS content to less than 100 ppm the generally acceptable upper limit of the TDS. This is done in three stages, namely: Pretreatment, passage of the water through 6 RO membrane filters held in parallel to each other main process and Post treatment. TMB ATM facility is available in our College premises both for the students and staff members. They can do withdraw the money at any point of time without hassles. Public also can use the ATMs at any time.

SKC Men’s Hostel is an integral part of the college campus. The hostel comprises of Three blocks with total of 64 rooms with a capacity to accommodate 256 students. All Mens residents of the hostel are provided rooms on a triple sharing basis Each room is provided with tube lights, fans and cots. Each floor of the hostel has separate bathroom, Wash rooms and toilet facilities.Dining, lobby, terrace, etc. are provided

A hygienic kitchen with modern facilities like gas cooking, boiler cooking, and purified drinking water supply is available in the hostel. Both Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian meals are served separately.

Sri Kaliswari College operates 25 buses for the convenience of students and staff coming from in and around Sivakasi and also from the suburbs like Virudhunagar, Tirumanagalam, Sivakasi, Srivilliputhur, Rajapalayam, Sattur, Aruppukottai, Peraiyur, Aalangulam, Vembakottai. This transport facility is also used for various educational purposes like field trips, industrial visits and recruitments. Our bus facilities enables the students safer travel. For the benefit of those students who are attending special classes, using Internet facility, Library etc., special buses to limited destinations are arranged everyday which leave the campus at 5.30 p.m.
