Sri Krishna Arts and Science College, commonly known as SKASC, is an autonomous, self-financing, co-educational arts and science institution located in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The college was established in 1997 by the VLB Trust, which was founded by the industrialist and philanthropist Late Sri V. L. Balakrishna Naidu in 1980. In Sri Krishna Arts and Science College, 1748 students admitted in year 2016-17, out of which 1691 graduated in 2018-19. From this, 1406 qualified students got placed with a median salary of Rs.400000 and 269 students got selected for higher studies. In year 2017-18, 2116 students were admitted, out of which 2071 graduated in 2019-20. From this, 1665 qualified students got placed with a median salary of Rs.415000 and 387 students got selected for higher studies. In year 2018-19, 2304 students were admitted, out of which 2216 graduated in 2020-21. From this, 1738 qualified students got placed with a median salary of Rs.420000 and 456 students got selected for higher studies.

The library is housed in a 3,000 sq. mt. building, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. Our academic success were largely supported by the vast collection of books and reference materials available in the library. The spacious, computerized library provides an excellent environment for exploring new areas of knowledge. It is open from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm, Monday to Friday, and the digital library operates six days a week. The library offers several dedicated sections, including a separate reference section, TV rooms, a video conferencing room, group study rooms, a research scholars’ room, a career guidance section, a book bank section, a project and back volume section, an own book reading room, and a CEC section.

At Sri Krishna Arts and Science College, we take pride in our modern and well equipped auditorium facilities, designed to provide an exceptional experience for our Stakeholders. Sri Krishna Hall has 4000 seating capacity multipurpose with Advanced Audio-visual equipment. The Institution also has 500 seating capacity Convention Hall, Two Seminar Hall with a Seating capacity of 250 and 150 respectively. An OAT Theater with 600 seating Capacity for Outdoor activities. At SKASC, an exclusive Health centre has been deployed with committed Phsysicians, Medical asssitants to attend the medical needs of students. A Life Support vehicle also has been assisted in case of emergency.

The Accommodation services for Men’s Hostel which sprawls around 71,852 sq.ft. which accommodates 680 in college residents and Women’s Hostel with an area of 26,860 sq. Ft accommodating 550 in college residents.

Despite the college being located at the heart of the city, the Institution offers bus services from various prominent locations in the city to the college. The college has a fleet of 15 air-conditioned and non air-conditioned buses to cater to the transportation needs of students and staff. The college buses pick up the students from far-off places like Tirupur, Pollachi and Mettupalayam as well. The Institution ensures the students’ safety by employing well experienced drivers. All buses have speed control devices, first aid boxes and CCTV cameras.
