Sri Raghavendra Educational Institutions Society(R) ventured into technical education. It proudly launched Sri Krishna Institute of Technology (SKIT), one of the top engineering colleges in Bangalore, in 2001 to ensure that education extends beyond the classroom and translates to an experience. Sri Krishna Institute of Technology (SKIT) is one of the Top Engineering Colleges in Bangalore affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, Karnataka, approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, affiliated with NAAC, Bangalore, Karnataka, India.

Sri Krishna Institute of Technology (SKIT) campus is situated in the center of the city and near the country's industrial hub, which can be easily accessible by public and Institution transport system. SKIT has got a lushgreen campus with the state of the art infrastructure, which consists of multiple department blocks equipped with smart boards, Wi-Fi connectivity, an e-Learning facility, well-equipped laboratories, Library – there pository of knowledge with digital Library, Auditorium and an Amphi theatre, Track and field for Sports, Girls and Boys Hostel, Hygienic Cafeteria, Medical center, and ATM. The staff members of SKIT are Post Graduates, and many are Doctorate. Many are involved in Research work, and departments have funded projects by various agencies.

ADMISSION & ELIGIBILITY

COMMON ENTRANCE TEST (CET) ONLY FOR KARNATAKA STUDENTS The Government of Karnataka conducts common Entrance test for admission into various professional courses. The CET is generally conducted during in the month of May and the notification will appear in all leading newspapers. A merit list will be prepared based on the 50% weighatage for the marks of the qualifying examination and 50% weightage for the CET Marks for declaring the CET rank. Seat Matrix is announced indicating seat available in different college in different branches based on the sanctioned intake.

COMEDK BOTH FOR KARNATAKA AND NON-KARNATAKA STUDENTS The COMEDK test for admission into various professional courses will be conducted all over India. The COMEDK is generally conducted during the month of May and the notifications will appear in all leading newspapers. The COMEDK ranking is based on the performance of students in the COMEDK entrance test only. Seat Matrix is announced indicating seat available in different college in different branches based on the sanctioned intake.

MANAGEMENT SEATS BOTH FOR KARNATAKA AND NON-KARNATAKA STUDENTS

The qualifying examination is the 2nd PUC or 10+2 Higher Secondary or equivalent examination recognized by the State / Central Government. The last two years of study shall comprise Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with English as a compulsory subject.

General Merit Candidate should have passed with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% in respect of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka state) in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and should have passed these subjects individually. Physics and Mathematics are compulsory along with Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics as one of the subjects. However, changes if any, in the eligibility criteria by the AICTE will be adopted.

Training and Placement :-

SKIT placement and training cell is guided by the principal and its activities are taken care of by experienced industry professionals. The placement cell is able to assist the students by guiding them to the companies with their procedures in recruitment process. The college started a unique training program by inviting people with various skills related to placement and HR professional from various industries to make students aware of question pattern, skill assessment and procedural aspects.

Many leading industries have found students of SKIT suitable for recruitment and this has been a highly encouraging factor. The students are being trained regarding personality development and associated skills, aptitude tests etc so that they are ready to take up any challenging opportunities. Sri Krishna Institute of Technology (SKIT) campus is located in the middle of the city. It is also close to the nation's main industrial center, it is easily accessible through the transportation system for institutions and public. Auditorium:
A auditorium that can accommodate about 300 people with modern audiovisual equipment can be found on the campus. Numerous technical seminars, workshops and conferences are hosted there. It is available to students during the festivals of culture. A Amphitheatre that overlooks the lush and green grass, can be the ideal venue for all day events.

Library:
SKIT Library and information center is proud to assist the institution's journey towards its goal. The library's collection comprises of around 25200 books 48 journals from the national journal 100 bound volumes of Journals, 700 Reports on Projects.

To facilitate and speedy access to documents, the entire collection is being digitized with the help of library software program "Libsoft". Database of the books in the library is constantly updated on a day-to-day basis. OPAC (Open Public Access Catalogue) is available for searching and retrieval of any book by any author of any subject fast and effectively. Students, faculty members or employees working at the Institute are eligible to join the library.

Hostel:
Hostels are set in peaceful and peaceful surroundings, providing a pleasant conditions for students to study on the campus. Separate hostels and mess facilities for boys and Girls are provided with a cozy atmosphere and modern amenities. Each hostel has its own warden who take care of the welfare of students with love and commitment. Anti-ragging committees and Hostel wardens look after the students. Medical facilities in the hostel are readily available.

Cafeteria:
The college has its own cafeteria "The Round Table", within the campus, where healthy, home-cooked and clean food is offered at reduced costs. The cafeteria's management is handed over to skilled competent and dedicated contractors. The canteen is maintained and open throughout working days. A committee comprised of students, staff members and trustees supervise the operation in the restaurant.

Medical Facilities:
Sri Krishna Institute of Technology has joined forces together with Raghavendra People Tree Hospital, T. Dasarahalli, Bangalore which provides free medical facilities to all faculty and students at the college. The Dr. Bhavani is appointed as the Chief Medical Officer of the medical center located on campus. Health checkups are free and scheduled regularly for the staff and students who are members of the Red cross society.

Tequed Labs:
SKIT uses TEQUEDLAB to conduct placement exercises, Placement training, conducting interviews for placement. It also aids students gain understanding for their academics and general encouragement.

SKIT campus is situated in the center of the city and near to industrial hub of the country which can be easily reached by public and Institution transport system. Besides, the college has many buses to provide pick up and drop services to the students and staff from the campus to the different parts of the city on the approved routes which covers a large part of the city.
