Sri Paramakalyani College

Sri Paramakalyani College was founded in 1963 by Late Sri S. Anantha ramakrishnan, a doyen of Industry in South India and a great visionary. The college is run by the Sri Paramakalyani Education Society, with Sri A. Sivasailam (Padmashree awardee) as President and Sri A. Krishnamoorthy as a member of the governing body.

The Vedic adage “Through Knowledge to Immortality” is the mission of our institution. With cent percent efficiency and cent percent character as our goal, we strive to provide value based, quality higher education at an affordable cost to the people living in and around Alwarkurichi. The steady growth of the institution is attributed mainly with the healthy practices and values that are being followed in administering the institution.

Apart from the college, the Education Society runs a Higher Secondary School with 1800 students in its roll, 15 bedded hospital providing quality medicare free of cost, a Kalyanamandapam and also a Training Institute for Diamond Cutting.

Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Computer Science Self-Finance is a full-time three-year undergraduate degree course offered by the Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli.
Eligibility Criteria
A person, who has passed Higher Secondary/Intermediate (10+2) or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto, shall be eligible for the course.

Eligibility Criteria
A person, who has passed Higher Secondary/Intermediate (10+2) or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto, shall be eligible for the course.
Ph.D. program in Commerce shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work, and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned, offered by Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli.


Eligibility Criteria
Master’s Degree holders satisfy the criteria stipulated under Clause 2 above.
Candidates who have cleared the M.Phil. course work with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed) and successfully completing the M.Phil. Degree shall be eligible to proceed to do research work leading to the Ph. D. Degree in the same Institution in an integrated program. A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC(non-creamy layer)/differently-abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time.
A person whose M.Phil. dissertation has been evaluated and the viva voce is pending may be admitted to the Ph.D. program of the same Institution. Candidates possessing a Degree considered equivalent to M.Phil. Degree of an Indian Institution, from a Foreign Educational Institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency which is approved, recognized, or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country for the purpose of assessing, accrediting or assuring quality and standards of educational institutions, shall be eligible for admission to the Ph.D. program.

Placements: Almost 90% of the students got placed. The salary offered is Rs. 10,000 to 20,000 per month for everyone. Top recruiting companies of our college are Yamaha, Maruti Suzuki, Hero Honda, Royal Enfield and many others around India. Almost 35% of the students got internships in the above companies. The top role offered to the students is sales assistant record maintenance.
