Sri Paramakalyani College, commonly known as SPKC, is located at Alwarkurichi in the Tirunelveli region of Tamil Nadu. It is an affiliated, aided and self-financing higher-education institution established in 1963 by Late Sri S. Anantha Ramakrishnan, a prominent industrialist and visionary. The college is administered by the Sri Paramakalyani Education Society. The General Library which caters to the academic needs of the students and teachers works between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm on all working days and also between 9.30 am and 3.30 pm on holidays (except state holidays).  

The College is equipped with a large playground with facilities to play cricket, volleyball, basketball, ball badminton, tennis, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Football and etc., and also a well laid out standard 400 meter track. Provision for playing indoor games like table tennis, carom, Chess is also made. Intramural matches are conducted to encourage and sharpen the skills of the students.

Our college has won many intercollegiate matches in several events and especially Cricket, Kho-Kho, Chess, ball badminton team has brought in several laurels. The infrastructure available is also utilised for conducting Zonal/University / District level matches. As an extension activity, the Physical Education Department conducts Yoga classes and practice for the benefit of students. Gymnasium facilities are introduced for the welfare of the students.

Separate hostel accommodation is available for boys and girls, providing residential support for students travelling from distant locations. Hostel facilities are intended to provide a convenient living environment close to the academic campus.
