Our College
Sri Rajiv Gandhi College of Dental Sciences & Hospital was established in the year 1991 by Sir. M. Visvesvaraya education Trust.

The College offers full time courses in dentistry both under graduation and post graduation, via Bachelor of Dental Surgery - BDS (4 years +1 year internship) and Master of Dental Surgery - MDS (3years)

It is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, Recognised by the State of Karnataka, Recognised by the Dental Council of India and notified by the Government of India.

Students from all over the country and many international students are prosecuting their studies in this prestigious well reputed institution. The institution has highly experienced and well qualified faculties in all subjects. Eligibility
UNDER GRADUATION: Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)

ELIGIBILTY FOR ADMISSION
1. Qualification:

Candidates should have passed the 2nd PUC/12th Grade Examination or equivalent examination, comprising the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) with English as language and obtained a minimum of 50% in the aggregate marks of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (40% in the case of SC/ST of the Karnataka State).
Candidate should also have minimum of 50% marks in Physics, chemistry and Biology taken together at the competitive entrance examination where such examinations are held for selection (40% in the case of SC/ST of the Karnataka State)

.Admission Procedure
UNDER GRADUATION: Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)

Admissions to the first year BDS course shall be made within the sanctioned intake.
All students seeking admisison to the BDS Course shall also appear in the National Entrance Eligibility cum Entrance Test conducted by the CBSE in the relevant year of admission and obtain requitsite percentile as notified by the Dental Council of India. The application form for NEET shall be made available in the CBSE web portal expected in the month of the calendar year. Students are advised to check the web portal of CBSE for details.

The average package offered is 4.5 LPA, the highest package is 7 LPA, and the lowest package is 2 LPA. The roles offered range from a dental surgeon to college professor to medical officer and the general position in an army as odonatologist.

Scholarship. All government seats are provided with concessional fee. Students admitted under the reservation category for SC / ST / OBC can seek scholarship for the fee payable to the insitution from the State Government, subject to their eligibility as notified by the State Government from time to time.

Boys Hostel
Boys Hostel
The college has hostel facility for the boys. The hostels are situated in the college campus with a capacity for 300 students. Different types of rooms are available for the students. Rooms with sharing bathroom and private rooms with toilets attached are unique for the students to choose, subject to availability. Common Television Entertainment, Indoor games facility, Yoga Room and Meditation /Prayer rooms are also provided in the hostel. 24 Hours warden is available for good care of the students in the hostel. Outside foods are not allowed inside the hostel to avoid food adulteration. On Call Doctor and Nursing facility is available in the hostel. Local guardians and visitors are permitted to meet the students in the Visitor room during the daytime after 07.00 AM and up to 6.00 PM. Many varieties of food and snacks of both vegetarian and Non-vegetarian are available for students in their favorite taste in different styles of Indian and more.

Sports
The panoramic campus even with capturing the beauty of Nature by plenty of trees and plants and many landscapes, has adequately provided facilities for many games and activities of both indoor and outdoor for the good development of mind and body of the students while undergoing their study in the course duration. There are a basketball court, badminton court, volleyball court in the campus. Also, the facilities for football, cricket and athletic events and practice are available off campus with the transport facility provided by the college. Newly introducing facility for swimming pool and gym will start shortly.


I.T Infrastructure
The dental college has facilitated a Computer lab with 30 latest systems, all with internet connectivity, printers, scanner and server. The lab provides facility for university online valuation work of the examination answer scripts for all streams of medical education as required for the university.
