Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College (SREC), is a Top Class,  Autonomous Engineering College in Tamil Nadu founded in 2012 . It is part of the Sri Ramakrishna Educational Institutions under the Sri Swamy Vivekananda Educational Trust. Dr M Sivasubramaniam is the Founder Chairman of the Trust and Sri Ramakrishna Group of Institutions.

SREC is located on a 49.99 Acres campus of which 65,117 Sqm is built up area. The college is on NH-45, Sri Saradha Nagar, Perambalur, Tamil Nadu. Perambalur Bus Stand is 6.4 Kms from the College, Trichy Railway Station is 60 Kms and Trichy Airport is 56.6 Kms from the College.

SREC is affiliated with the Anna University in Chennai, and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) of New Delhi. The College has been accredited in A+ Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranked Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College in the 151–200 band for Engineering Colleges in 2023. In 2024, the College was ranked in the same band. The College is ISO 9001:2015 Certified. The College was conferred with the Autonomous Status in 2007-2008. The College has accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for most of its courses.

SREC offers 5 B.E and 2 B.Tech course study programs to its students in different disciplines as options. Sri Ramakrishna College of Engineering has taken concerted efforts towards differentiating itself by encouraging  innovation and research. This Institution provides support and guidance to enable faculty and students to take up research and innovative development relevant to industry as well as society. Areas of research encouraged are Manufacturing and Design Engineering, VLSI Signal Processing. Cloud Computing, Structural Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Wireless Sensor Networks, Sustainable Natural Resource Utilisation, Agricultural Technology, Biomaterials and Regenerative Engineering, Cell and Molecular Engineering.

The College has Government Scholarships and Special Fee Concessions under various schemes, terms and conditions. Government scholarships include Adi-Dravidar and tribal welfare scholarship, Backward classes and minorities welfare scholarship, Decentralised scholarship, Minorities welfare scheme scholarship, and Special/loan scheme scholarship for SC/ST. Special fee concessions available for Students who score more than a certain cut off may receive a tuition fee waiver. Special fee concessions may be available to Sportspersons for achievements.

Sri Ramakrishna College of Engineering has top class Facilities and Infrastructure on its campus. The Library provides the convenience of referring about 5000+ volumes and 2500+ titles of books. In addition to which, the library also subscribes to International and National journals and periodicals. In this fully automated library, students and staff members can search for books by author, title or   subject heading and their availability. Each student is given 2 library books at a time and they have allocated library hours/week, Laboratories for each Department, Wi-fi enabled separate Hostels for Men and Women Students with all facilities, a College owned Fleet of 50 College Buses for Transportation on pre-determined routes, Indoor and Outdoor Sports facilities, Auditoriums for events and occasions.

SRCE has a Training and Placement Department to  ensure the critical function of Placement is met with the highest possible achievement percentage. The Internal Training consists of Online Mock Tests that are conducted from time to time. Group discussion are conducted and the Communication Skills of the Students is analyzed by the In-house faculty members. The External Training is for all

Final Year students who undergo training by resource persons for around 2 weeks. Students are getting trained, from time to time, in aptitude and technical mock tests interviews. Eligibility

A valid score in TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test) is required. Candidates who have qualified GATE are also eligible and may be exempt from the TANCET exam.
