Sri Ranganathar Institute of Engineering & Technology (Autonomous) SRIET is a leading Engineering College in Coimbatore. It is a Private, Self-Financed, Non-Minority, Co-Educational and Autonomous Institution which was established in the year 2011. SRIET is part of the Sri Ranganathar Group formed by Sri Ranganathar Trust by Dr V Narayanaswamy, Managing Director. He founded the Engineering College after identifying the need of talented young engineers in Industries. The past four decades of his expertise in Industry turned into the foundation of SRIET. The primary objective is to bridge the gap between the Institute and Industry through adequate Industrial exposure, harmonious teaching and experiential learning.

SRIET can be located at No. 162, Athipalayam, Sarkarsamakulam-Thudiyalur Rd, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. SRIET offers Under Graduate and Research Ph.D options. They currently have B.E (5), B.Tech (2) and Ph.D (1) alternatives in different disciplines. The Mentor-Mentee system is implemented to provide personal counseling and address students' grievances. It involves monitoring students closely, with each student's personal, academic, co-curricular, and extracurricular information recorded in their student record by the assigned faculty mentor. Mentors closely track and oversee each student's academic progress and other activities. They are responsible for providing extra coaching to slow learners, in collaboration with the course coordinator. Additional support is also given to students with backlog arrears, offering extra coaching sessions to help them improve their performance. Students who express an interest in dropping out are specifically counseled, with their concerns addressed and efforts made to motivate them to continue their studies. Ethical and moral values are consistently taught throughout the mentoring process. Students involved in clubs and sports are encouraged to develop their leadership skills. Parent meetings are regularly held to discuss the performance and progress of their children.
