Sri Sairam Institute of Technology (Autonomous) SSIT is a Top Class College of Engineering & Technology in Chennai. It was established in the year 2008 by MJF. Ln. Leo Muthu, Chairman of the Sapthagiri Educational Trust, a non-profit, non-minority Institution. Imbibed with the message of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba, the Chairman, ventured into the realm of providing quality technical education to both urban and rural students from Tamil Nadu as well as other states. The chairman is a known visionary and he has to his credit, various other enterprises such as Real Estate, Industry and various Educational Institutions. The groups of colleges under the trusts offer education across technical, management studies, research, shipping science and alternative medicine streams and more. At Sri Sairam Institute of Technology Training and Placement (TAP) is an integral part of the institution. The institution has provided complete infrastructure for effective functioning of the cell. The cell is sensitized to function all through the tenure of four years towards generating placement opportunities through training the students. The Recruitment of fresh engineering graduates by all leading manufacturing sectors, IT sectors and product companies have been focusing on “Industry 5.0”. Training activities are organized with dynamism ensuring successful efforts towards preparing the students for the talent acquisition processes of the recruiters. As per the latest Placement Statistics made available by the College for the year 2022-23 out of a Total of 452 Students, 433 were eligible for Placement through Campus Recruitment. 347 students (80.14%) were finally placed with some opting for Entrepreneurship and a few for Higher Studies. 134 Students were placed in the Rs 5 LPA to 10 LPA Salary Band.
