Admission Procedure

The college offers admissions at UG, PG and doctoral levels. Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences Whitefield admissions to B.Sc courses are through an entrance exam and interview conducted by the college. SSSIHMS Bangalore selection process for Post Diploma DNB courses is through DNB PDCET. Qualified candidates must then attend the Centralized Counselling at the National Board of Examinations (NBE). Admission Criteria

B.Sc Admission Process

SSSIHMS Bangalore offers admission to the B.Sc degree at the undergraduate level in various specializations in the field of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences. The course is offered in a full-time mode for a duration of 4 years. Admission to B.Sc at SSSIHMS Bangalore is offered on the basis of a written entrance examination conducted by the college followed by an Interview.

B.Sc Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent level of qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as the mandatory subjects from a recognized board.
The candidate must have scored a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination.
Candidates appearing for the B.Sc Imaging Technology course should also have Mathematics along with Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and English.
Candidates should be at least 17 years (minimum) and 25 years (maximum) of age in the year of application.
Admission to SSSIHMS Bangalore B.Sc is offered to only female candidates.

DNB Admission 

SSSIHMS Bangalore is accredited by the National Board of Examination (NBE) to offer the DNB course under two categories namely Super Specialties such as Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery, Cardiology, Neurosurgery, and Broad Specialties such as Anesthesiology and Radio-Diagnosis. The DNB degree offered by SSSIHMS Bangalore is equivalent to M.Ch/DM for Super Specialties and MD for Broad Specialties.

Scholarship

• All the regular Diagnostics Tests required for Cardiac & Neuro-sciences are performed at the SSSIHMS-Wfd Laboratory.
  
• The Laboratory has the different sections which are all well equipped for the above purpose.
  
• The Microbiology laboratory has the required safety cabinets (Class __ and Class __) as well as the automated bacterial culture (BactiAlert) and Identification & Sensitivity testing equipment (Vitek2).
  
• The Biochemistry laboratory is equipped with Fully Automated Biochemistry equipment (floor models) along with chemiluminescence analyzer (Roche Cobas e411) for hormonal profiles.
  
• Cell counters, cytospin and coagulation analyzers help the Hematology and Clinical Pathology laboratory to perform its investigations accurately and with a short turn-around-time. The Histopathology laboratory is equipped with microtome & cyrotome as well as with the required special stains and immunohistochemistry antibodies.
  
• The Blood Bank is situated in a spacious area with all facilities for collection from the donors, testing, componenting and storage facilities.
  
• For a few investigations that are rarely requested for, we have a tie-up with accredited laboratories from where these investigations are out-sourced. Not all are the in-house facilities provided free of cost to the patient, the hospital provides for the outsourced investigations too.
  

Hostel

Hostel facilities are available for medical staff, trainees, and students. The accommodation is clean, disciplined, and designed to provide a peaceful living environment. Basic amenities and security are ensured for comfortable stay.
