Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology (SIET)

Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore, is an Autonomous Engineering College established in the year 2006 by The Thiru. S. Sengoda Gounder Educational and Charitable Trust.  This institute also known as SIET Coimbatore, is a Co-Educational Institute.

SIET is set in a campus size of a sprawling 30 acres of land in Sri Shakthi Nagar, L & T By-pass, Chinniyampalayam Post, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.  The college campus is 8 km from the TNSTC Bus Stop and 9 km from Irugur Railway Junction. The distance from the college to the Coimbatore International airport is just 4.6 km.

Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology is affiliated with Anna University, Chennai.  It is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with A Grade and the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).

Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore offers a total of 17 full-time UG (12 Streams)and PG (5 Streams) courses. Students can enroll in BE, B.Tech and M.E. programs. The admission for UG programs are based on TNEA Rankings and PG programs it is based on CEETA PG scores. SIET also enrolls students in interdisciplinary courses like Agricultural engineering, Biomedical engineering, and Biotechnology. Besides this, it also offers specialization in Machine learning and Data science, which are current demands of industries.

The Institute offers Bachelors and Masters Courses in B. Tech, BE and M. Tech, ME program. Admission for these courses mentioned above is entry-level based and marks scored in the qualifying exam. Applications are accepted at SSIET for UG and PG courses online on the official website.

B. Tech / BE course at SSIET offers CSE, Agriculture Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, ME, ECE, Civil Engg, Electrical and Electronics Engg. In addition, B, Tech is provided with IT, Food Technology, and Biotechnology.

M. Tech / ME course at SSIET is offered in Cad / Cam, VLSI Design, CSE, Structural Engineering, Embedded System Technologies.  

• The Institute offers BE / B. Tech and ME / M. Tech courses under UG and PG levels.
• BE courses offer seven disciplines, and the B. Tech course is offered with three specializations.
• Applicants seeking BE / B. Tech course must have passed with 50% marks in the 10+2 examination.
• Access for the B. Tech/ BE course at SIET depends on TNEA counselling conducted by AU.
• Candidates applying for these courses must 18 years and must not have crossed 25 years.
• Applicants who belong to SC / ST category must have 50% marks, and SCA must have 45% marks to apply.
• ME courses are offered at SIET with five specializations for eligible students with qualifying marks.
• Eligibility for ME course at SIET, candidates must have passed Bachelor's Degree in BE / B. Tech with 50% marks.
• Admission for the ME course at SIET depends on TANCET and GATE examination scores.
• The final selection for courses mentioned above is Merit-based and counselling.
• Selection for reserved category students depends on quota and rules laid by the Government.
