Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering and Technology is a leading Un-aided, Private, Telugu Minority Institution in Thirupachur which was started in the year 1999.  The College is run by  Sri Venkateswara Educational and Cultural Trust which was started with the aim to offer quality education in building the future of today’s youth, is committed to provide educational opportunities to students in and around Tiruvallur district near Chennai.   In the era of globalization, working environment has become highly competitive and challenging.   It was started with an objective of identifying talented students and giving them the opportunity to shine in society by taking them forward and helping them to carve a niche of their own in the industry.

Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering and Technology is spread over a sprawling Green Campus of 28 acres in a picturesque ambience on 3,12,000 sq.ft. built-up area on the Chennai-Tirupati National Highway 205 at Thirupachur, Thiruvallur District (near Collector's Office, Tamil Nadu).   The college is easily accessible by both road and rail.

SVCET is presently affiliated to Anna University, Chennai with AICTE approval.   The College Is also Accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) in India.  This institution is ISO 9001:2008 Certified for the Quality Management System.

Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering and Technology offers a variety of UG and PG courses in the fields of Engineering, Technology, IT and Management.  The Courses offered are B.E (in 7 disciplines) B.Tech (in 2 disciplines), M.E (in 3 disciplines), MBA, and MCA Degree Programs.

Scholarships are provided to deserving students to help them get over their financial obstacles.  Eligible students can avail scholarship facilities offered by both the Government of India and the Government of Tamil Nadu.
