Admission Procedure

SVCE Chennai Courses are offered at UG, PG level. There are 31 courses offered at SVCE Chennai. The courses are offered disciplines like Engineering. SVCE Chennai courses includes BE, B.Tech, BE {Lateral}, ME, M.Tech, B.Tech {Lateral}. Popular courses at SVCE Chennai are BE, B.Tech, BE {Lateral}.

Placement

The Placement cell is one of the important department in SVCE. Knowing that you will be guided after your graduation so that you land a job helps you feel secure. This is the reason why we have a dedicated placement cell that helps, guides, and advises students about the future.

In SVCE, students come from all walks of lives. They come from different parts of the country including rural areas. Some individuals may not be aware of how things work. Some others may not be confident enough to walk into an interview even though they are skilled. These problems are more common and our skilled placement panel are helping students to get placed in top companies.

Dr. A. C. Muthiah, Chairman, Governing Council initiated a new scheme from academic year 2003-2004 to distribute 5% of tuition fees income to students as:-

2.Prizes for First Rankers in Test and Examination

They open up windows to the world and inspire us to explore and achieve, and contribute to improving our quality of life."SVCE strongly believes in promoting and facilitating eLearning. Towards this, we have developed a Digital Library section (Campus Access only) with 30 computers connected with a high configuration server along with audio aids, which is sponsored by the SVCE Alumni Association.

The aim of Physical Education is the wholesome development of personality of an individual which means making every student physically fit , mentally alert,emotionally balanced,socially well adjusted,morally true and spiritually uplifted.

The Medical centre of SVCE was instituted in the year 2008 with 6 beds, a resident Medical Officer, a trained residential nurse and a qualified lab technician. Besides that, the college has first aid kits made available in almost all blocks. A 24-hour ambulance facility, adequate pharmaceutical support, medical lab services are a few of the mentionable services offered.

Transport

The College provides transportation between different districts around and College. 60 buses are operated for Students and Staff of SVCE. Transport is also provided for sports, library, laboratory and late evening classes. Buses are operated on Saturdays and Sundays for special classes, NCC, Sports, etc. On special occasions, buses are utilised for Industrial visits and Social service activities.

A transport committee, headed by a Convenor, is formed to take care of the smooth operation of buses. The staff in-charge of the buses (one teaching and one supporting) ensure the smooth functioning of the buses. The Transport committee meets once in Six months.
