Admission Criteria

SIT Admission

Srinivas Institute of Technology offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD courses in various specilaisations. The college has a total intake of 180 in computer science and engineering, and the institute has a total intake of 180 in electrical and communication engineering.

SIT Eligibility

• B.E.: The candidate should have passed PUC (10+2) or its equivalent examination with 50% aggregate marks in Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following subjects: chemistry, biotechnology, and biology. The candidates should have studied and passed English as one of the subjects, and the selection criteria are COMEDK UGET and KCET.

• B.Arch: The candidate should have passed the PUC (10+2) or its equivalent examination with 50% aggregate marks in Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects, and the selection is based on NATA.

• M.Tech: Candidates should have passed B.E./B.Tech from VTU or any other equivalent exam from a recognised university with not less than 50% marks. In the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST, marks should not be less than 45%, and the selection process is based on PGCET and GATE scores.

• MBA: Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree from any recognized university with at least 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks, and the selection criteria are PGCET/KMAT/CMAT/CAT/MAT.

• MCA: Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree from any recognized university with at least 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks, and the selection criteria are PGCET.

Scholarship

1. CENTRAL SECTOR SCHEME OF SCHOLARSHIPS FOR COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY STUDENTS (FRESH)

2nd Year BE students– Renewal should be done by the student who have received scholarship in the previous year. Fresh applications are not allowed.
3rd Year & 4th Year BE– renewal should be done only after the result is announced.

A library is a centre and power house of Knowledge. We are proud of having a good Library in our College, which at present houses 42,613 volumes of books with 8,561 titles. It has a comprehensive collection of literature, predominantly related to Engineering, Architecture, Management & it’s allied subject to meet the needs of the students & academicians. Apart from subscribing for numerous National and International journals, magazines, a digital library is established to access E-books and online journals like IEEE, Springer, Taylor-Francis, ASCE, Science Direct, K-Nimbus, and Proquest etc.

The library follows an open access system. Books are classified according to the Dewey decimal classification. Library has been fully computerized to using Easylib software which provides OPAC Services.There is photocopying facility and a book bank facility for needy students to borrow books for the entire semester. All the departments are equipped with their own departmental libraries, providing easy access to students, in their respective subject. The library is kept open from 8.00 AM to 8.00 PM

Hostel

Separate hostel facilities are available for boys and girls within or near the campus. The hostels provide clean rooms, 24/7 security, Wi-Fi, mess facilities, and a comfortable living environment for outstation students.
