Srinivasan College of Arts & Science was established by Shri.A. Srinivasan, Founder - Chairman of Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Charitable and Educational Trust, Perambalur. The trust was registered on 18th January 1994 under the Tamilnadu Societies Act.

The college was started on 29th November 2004 as per the G.O No.: MS. 477 and got affiliated to Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirapalli. (Ref. no23015/d1/2004 dated: 02.12.2004).

Srinivasan College of Arts& Science started with 6 U.G. courses has now blossomed into an institution with 12 Under Graduate programmes and 8 Post Graduate programmes.

Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Educational and Charitable Trust was formed in the year 1994 by the renowned visionary of this territory Shri.A.Srinivasan.

The Sole aim of the Trust is to offer value-based education from the basic level to the professional level at a fee affordable to all classes of the society.

The trust has resolved to offer education in diversified fields like arts, science, management and engineering & technology and has been running a chain of institutions and producing excellent results for many years.

Bharathidasan University affiliated our college on 02-12-2004.

From the inception, the college started functioning in its permanent building with effect from 05-122004 with all the required Laboratories and workshops.

Admission process

The application form is available on the official website of Srinivasan College of Arts and Science - Co-Ed-SCAS. Those who wish to apply can submit their applications on the official website. The selection is done on the basis of merit list.

The candidate must qualify the following eligibility criteria to appear for the MSc home course:

Aspirants should have passed BSc 3 years degree after 10th and +2 with honours in home science and any other related home science.

BSc home science or BSc biology or BSc microbiology or some bachelor's degree with home science relatives.

Minimum 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent for general candidates and 45% for SC or St candidates.

There is no age limit for studying MSc home science.

Student admission based on the examination level. This is conducted at the university level or state level, or national level.

Students must check eligibility and apply for the required examination.

Students are required to crack the respective examination of a college or university to get admission in the course.

After successfully appearing for the test, the college or university announces the result and releases the merit list of shortlisted candidates.

Passed students then need to go through the college-wise admission process.

Allotment of seats to the candidates is the final step, and after that, candidates are required to deposit the fee for the course and enrol in the specific academic session.

We provide separate Hostel Accommodations for Boys. The hostel rooms are spacious, well furnished, and ventilated with the provision of an inbuilt mineral water plant and solar panel heater that provide round-the-clock fresh purified drinking water to all its inmates. In addition to the hygienic food outlets, the hostel mess serves sumptuous healthy food with a minimum of 5 different cuisines (Tamilnadu, Kerela, Andra, North India, and Continental Food for other Country Students). Catering to all the palates.

Auditorium

The College has Multi-Purpose Auditorium where we can assemble more than 3000 students. The common celebrations like Annual Day, Freshers Day, Special Invitees Talk, Graduation Day, Placement Day, and Parents Meeting are held in this auditorium.
