Srinivasan Medical College and Hospital (SMCH) was established in the year 2021 as a private not-for-profit self-financing institution and dedicated to serve the society as a centre of excellence with emphasis on medical education and health care.  SMCH functioning under Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University was established by Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Charitable and Educational Trust, which achieved the task of establishing the Institution as a “Centre of Excellence” under the leadership of Shri. A. Srinivasan who was the Founder & Managing Trustee of the Trust and also the Founder-Chancellor of the University.  Srinivasan Medical College is one of the newly established hi-tech medical colleges in Tamil Nadu known to provide modern education in the field of medicine.  

Campus and facilities of SMCH are spread over 25 acres of land dotted by well manicured lawns, sprawling open spaces and trees.  The Medical College and Hospital is housed in a vast, refreshingly lush green, pollution-free, tobacco-free, alcohol-free campus.  Popularly known as SMCH Samayapuram, it is situated on NH-45, Trichy-Chennai Trunk Road, (Near Samayapuram Toll Plaza) Samayapuram, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu.

Admission Procedure

The admission process for Srinivasan Medical College & Hospital, Trichy, for the MBBS program is primarily based on NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) scores and subsequent state counseling conducted by the Tamil Nadu Directorate of Medical Education (DME)

Admission Process

• Appear in NEET‑UG and obtain required percentile or cutoff.

• Register for Tamil Nadu MBBS counselling via Directorate of Medical Education (DME) portal.

• Document verification, choice filling (state quota / management quota / NRI), and seat allotment.

• Pay tuition fee, take allotment letter, report to college with original documents and fee payment.

• If seats remain vacant, then mop‑up or stray vacancy rounds may be conducted by the college based on NEET rank

Eligiblity

• Must qualify in NEET-UG, conducted by NTA.

• Completed 10+2 (HSC) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English.

• Minimum aggregate marks in PCB:

• Register for TN state PG counselling through DME‑Tamil Nadu.

• Document upload, choice filling, and seat allocation as per NEET‑PG rank.
