Admission Criteria

MBBS Admission

SS Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Center offers MBBS at the UG level. The student intake for MBBS is 150 seats. Candidates who have passed 10+2 with minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology from a recognized board are eligible to apply.Admission is given on the basis of the candidate’s merit in NEET UG conducted by CBSE and allotment of the seat is done through offline counselling conducted by the SSIMS.

MD, MS & PG Diploma Admission

SSIMSRC offers MD and MS at the PG level along with a PG Diploma course. Students who have completed MBBS Degree with compulsory rotating internship of one-year duration from an MCI recognized Institution are eligible to apply for admission to the PG program.

DM & M.Ch Admission

The institute offers DM in Cardiology and Neurology and, M.Ch in Urology and Plastic Surgery at the Super Speciality level. Candidates must have an MD/ MS degree from a recognized university to be eligible. Admission to DM and M.Ch is based on the performance in NEET SS.

SSIMS has world-class infrastructure facilities and learning resources that provide a stimulating and enjoyable learning experience for students. This includes, large, air conditioned lecture halls equipped with latest audio-visual aids, e-class rooms with smart boards, highly equipped laboratories and well connected campus networks. The hostels can accommodate over 500 boys and girls. Student amenities within the campus include, ATMs, auditorium, co-op store, book shop, and canteens. The college campus is eco-friendly, vehicle free and plastic free.

SSIMS & RC has six lecture theatres in college block with air conditioned, of gallery type in the Institution out of which five with seating capacity for 300 students each & one with 650 students, and one Lecturer theater in the hospital with seating capacity of 300 students. Lecture theatre are provided with necessary independent audio-visual aids including overhead projector, slide projector, LCD projector and a microphone. All the lecture theatres are been shared by all the departments in a programmed manner. There is a provision for E-class/ Virtual Class in Lecture halls facilities for teaching.

The SSIMS's library is spread over 4,100 sq m and can accommodate 900 students at a time. It provides access to a range of databases on the campus network, e-resources, and OPAC-related access to its vast collection. It has a separate audio-visual room, computer lab, group study area and private study area.College has spacious canteen facility in the college. A variety of south indian food and snack items are provided to the students and staff of the college with highest quality. Canteen has a big kitchen and kitchen staff take extra care to provide the students and staff with nutritious and hygienic food in the campus canteen.

Hostel 

The SSIMS hostel situated within the college campus with well-designed blocks, for both boys’ and girls’ separately. Each room has been provided with wardrobes, wooden cots, computer tables, book shelves and chairs for the inmates. Common room with television, newspapers and gymnasium are provided.A well designed common dining hall and food served on the campus is exclusively vegetarian. An efficient and hygienic mess has been possible by dedicated staff.

Transport

The Institute provides transport services regularly for both of our students and staffs our between campus and the city. This Transportation facilities are available to the students and faculty members for commuting from various points in the city to the Institute.
