St Joseph Engineering College, popularly known as SJEC, is a private engineering college located in Mangalore, Karnataka. Established in 2002, the institution was founded by the Diocese of Mangalore under the St Joseph Engineering College Trust. The college was established with the objective of providing quality technical education combined with moral values, professional ethics, leadership skills, and social responsibility. Admission Criteria

The candidates must be studying in Classes 11 and 12 at a recognised educational institution in India. Applicants must have scored at least 60% marks in the preceding class. The annual family income of the applicants from all sources must be less than or equal to₹2,50,000. Scholarships and fee concession schemes are available for meritorious students, economically weaker sections, minority students, and eligible government scholarship categories. The institution also assists students in applying for various state and central government scholarship programs.

Its collection of above 54,000+ volumes with 12,300+ titles, 104 printed technical journals and more than 15,200+ e-journals and 60,900+ e-books is used by more than 3,014 members including alumni’s and visitors. The Library provides a very conducive environment for study, reading, innovative research and collaborative activities in the Library. The Library frequently promotes its resources by conducting library orientation, user awareness quiz, book exhibitions/competitions, user awareness programmes and workshops to its stakeholders. The Library is also an active member of Consortium, DELNET and National Digital Library of India (NDLI) Club.

Separate hostel facilities are available for boys and girls within the campus.
