St Joseph's College of Engineering and Technology (SJCET) is a Christian Minority, Co-Educational Institution of Higher Technical Education. It was founded in the year 2007. The College is promoted and managed by Sisters of DMI. Rev,Fr.Dr. J E Arulraj is the Founder & Chairman of DMI & MMI Group of Institutions.

SJCET is built on a 15 Acres Campus and can be located at A.S.Nagar, Elupatti Village, Rawaspatti Post, Thanjavur Dist. The closest traffic hubs to the college are Thanjavur Bus Stand which is 4 Kms from the college, Thanjavur Railway Station is 9 Kms away and Tiruchirapalli is the nearest Airport, 50 Kms away.

SJCET has 6 UG Programs with 4 B.E and 2 B.Tech Programs with an approved intake capacity of 300 per year and 1 MBA Course with an Intake Capacity of 60 per year, as Academic options.offers scholarships to students. The institution has a library of 1100 square meters with a total capacity of 150, which consist of two rooms that are Reading Hall, Digital Library etc. it provides efficient access to enable learning resources and automatic process like aided cataloguing, circulation, acquisition, resource management and reporting and analytics. 

The library has a book collection of more than 27907 volumes of books in various departments like Mechanical, ECE, MBA, EEE, AI&DS, CSE. In addition to that library subscribes to 30 national and international Journals with 4 leading newspapers. It operates with Open Access System and provides services to UG and PG students and faculty members also.
