Admission Procedure

St. Mother Theresa Engineering College (SMTEC), Thoothukudi, offers undergraduate (UG) engineering programs, primarily through the TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) counseling process. Admission is based on merit in the 10+2 (or equivalent) examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects. The college is affiliated with Anna University and approved by AICTE.

Admission process

• Apply through TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions), which is Anna University’s centralized counselling.

• Pay the TNEA counseling fee and participate in certificate verification and seat allotment.

• After TNEA allotment, report to SMTEC with required documents and pay college admission fees.

Eligiblity

Must pass 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.
