Veerasamy Chettiar College of Engineering & Technology (SVCET) is a Private, Self Financed, Non Minority, Co-Educational College founded by Dr Murugiah D.Litt in the year 2001 in the memory of his Father, Thiru. S.Veerasamy Chettiar. It is a part of S.Veerasamy Chettiar Educational and Charitable Trust which was established in the year 1997. The college has 25 buses which are made available to the students and the faculty members for commuting from various points in and around Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi and Virudhunagar District to the campus and back.
