Symbiosis International (Deemed University) is a multi-disciplinary university offering its students and faculty a vibrant learning ecosystem designed around its multi-cultural and innovative ethos. Symbiosis was established in 1971 by Prof. Dr. S.B. Mujumdar, which was a ‘home away from home’ for International students. The Institution is based on the principles of Vedic thought of "World as One Family".The University's name fittingly captures the quintessence of the relationship with International students; a mutually beneficial bond between India and the International student community. Symbiosis is committed to building international understanding by offering quality education, and is resplendent of the activities and students of more than 85 countries.

Today the university has its campuses spread across four states and 6 cities in India. The university is a pioneer in liberal arts education and has a strong School for Liberal Arts with departments in languages, literature, music, philosophy, indology, art, dance, theatre, education, anthropology, political science, international relations, film studies, peace and conflict studies, mathematics and statistics, pure and applied sciences, sociology, economics, sports, etc. While offering India’s pioneering 4 year honours programme, it also offers students across SIU institutes the opportunity to study courses of liberal arts, giving them a unique edge by focusing on 360° critical thinking and innovative design thinking, with the hope of finding innovative solutions to societal problems. Symbiosis Pune Admission Process

Engineering and Architecture, Management and Business Administration, Arts, Humanities, and others are the different streams in which SIU admissions 2023 are offered. Candidates are advised to have valid SET exam scores for SIU admission into UG courses. SIT EEE, JEE (Main), MHT-CET scores are accepted for B.E/B.Tech. Valid SLAT scores are accepted for B.A./L.L.B, B.B.AL.L.B. UCEED courses are accepted for B.Des. Candidates should have AIAT scores for L.L.B/L.L.M courses. Students seeking SIU admission into M.B.A./M.Sc. /MA/ MPH should have SNAP test scores. 

For admission into Diploma/PGD course, students should have merit in the qualifying examination and attend personal interviews. GATE scores are considered for SIU admission into M.E/M.Tech programme. NET/SET/SLET/ GATE/M.Phil or UGC/CSIR/ICMR DBT/RGNF/MANF/DST Inspire & NBHM Fellowships are considered for SIU admission into the Ph.D. programme.

Scholarships

Symbiosis International University Scholarships

·         Scholarship/ Fee waiver/ Fee concession- Concession in fee up to Rs.90,000 is given to student for outstanding performance in academic.

·         Sports Scholarship – The scholarship of INR.12000/- per annum is awarded to 05 outstanding sportsmen of SIU.

University Sports Scholarship

·         University sports Scholarships are awarded to athletes committed to combining their sport and education. The program represents a unique partnership between sports and education. It aims to reduce the drop-out rate of talented athletes from sports by supporting and developing the talent of today from the sporting success of tomorrow.

·         University Sports Board has successfully launched the University Sports Scholarship. Five sports Scholarships of Rs.24000 /- each is been awarded to the outstanding sportsmen of SIU who has participated at Intervarsity /National/International or state level tournaments.

·         The list of achievements to date by University Sports Scholar is truly impressive. The majority have represented either Symbiosis University at National University Games or National games in their chosen sport, and some have already had considerable success at International level.
