Candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in the HSC (+2) examination conducted by the state and through counselling (TNEA) conducted by Anna University Chennai, selected candidates are allotted to various colleges for admission.

Nearly 92% of the students got placed from 2019 passed out batch, where the highest average salary package offered was 3.5 LPA, and the lowest average salary package offered was 2 LPA.

About Library
The Library of Tagore Institute of Engineering and Technology has set its vision to satisfy the user community the Central Library is situated in the ground floor of the Main Block. with a floor area of about 4000 s.q. mts. The 3 main sections of the Library.

The stock room with reference section.
The reading hall with periodicals section.
The circulation / reprography / administration section.
The unique feature of our library is the compulsory library hour, which is included in the student�s timetable (one hour per week for each class). It gives the students ample time to use the Library facility.

Laboratories & Internet Lab Facilities
Well equipped physics lab, chemistry lab and fully centralized computer labs with latest instruments and machines we are poised to teach more practical knowledge to our students.

The college has merged with the information super highway by providing Internet facilities round the clock. Students and faculties enjoy unlimited Internet access with 10 Mbps band width.

Language Lab
A language laboratory is a dedicated space for foreign language learning where students access audio or audio-visual materials. They allow a teacher to listen to and manage student audio, which is delivered to individual students through headsets or in isolated 'sound booths.'
Conference and Seminar Lab

Fully air conditioned conference rooms, Mini Conference hall. Each Department is provided with a seminar hall. All the halls are provided with the latest Multimedia Projectors, Slide Projectors and Over Head Projectors.
