Tamilnadu College of Engineering (TCE)

Tamilnadu College of Engineering (TCE), one of the leading Engineerig Colleges in Coimbatore, was founded by eminent philanthropists Late Lion T.N. Palanisamy B.A., MJF and Dr. P.V. Ravi Ph.D., who are pioneering educators having rich and unmatched experience in the field of Education with the belief that the continuous perusal of knowledge is the sole path to success.   The college was established in the year 1984 and is managed by the Tamil Nadu Technical Education Foundation.  TCE is the first self-financed college in Tamilnadu in the field of Engineering. The primary focus of the Institution is to expose the young minds to the world of technology, instilling in them confidence and fortitude to face new challenges enabling them to shine in their chosen fields. 

TCE is nestled in a sprawling 48.26 acres of land near NH 544 at Chenniyandavar Kovil which is 4 km from Karumathampatti in Palanisame Ravi Nagar, Karumathampatti, Tamil Nadu.  Karumathampatti is a suburb of Coimbatore, (which is 30 km from the industrial city of Coimbatore, on the way to Avinashi) under the Coimbatore Corporation.

The Tamilnadu College of Engineering is recognized by the Government of Tamilnadu and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai.  It is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi  and The National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi. 

Tamilnadu College of Engineering offers UG, PG and Doctoral courses in various streams of Engineering and Business Administration/Management including BE, ME, MBA and PhD.  For admission to UG courses, TCE accepts entrance of TNEA and for PG courses they accept TANCET and CEETA PG which are conducted by Anna University.

Tech admission in Tamil Nadu is done based on the online counselling process called TNEA. There is no state-level entrance exam for admission in Tamil Nadu. Candidates have to register and appear for the online Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions TNEA counselling held every year
