Sri Ganganagar Institute of Veterinary Science, Tantia University (SGIVS)
Sri Ganganagar Institute of Veterinary Science (SGIVS) was established in 2022 under Tantia University(TU), Sri Ganganagar Act, 2013. It was founded as part of a series of initiatives launched by Dr. Shyam Sunder Tantia who was a visionary with noble attributes of simplicity and humbleness. SGIVS stands as a prominent institution dedicated to veterinary education and research. Dr. R. P. S .Baghel is heading the Institute as the Dean, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences.
SGIVS also referred as Tantia Veterinary College is located inside the Tantia University Campus near RIICO Bus Stand, Hanumangarh Road, Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan, India.
Sri Ganganagar Institute of Veterinary Science is within the framework of Tantia University and is affiliated with Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (RAJUVAS). The Institute is Accredited by Veterinary Council of India, New Delhi.
SGIVS offers comprehensive UG program - Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. A.H.) for 80 seats.The duration of the course is 4 Year 6 Months + 1 Year Internship. The eligibility for admission into the college, the candidate must have obtained 50% Marks in 10+2 (PCB) + NEET UG Exam. The Institute also offers a 2 year Dip in Animal Husbandry.
The institute is equipped with modern facilities, including state-of-the-art laboratories Library, Hostel, Wi-Fi Campus, Canteen, Games & Sports, Hospitals and Gym. It also has fully equipped clinics, which provides the students with hands-on Training and Research opportunities. Admission Process
Admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H.
Admission: Through NTA NEET UG score
On the basis of merit through NEET UG examination conducted by NTA.
Minimum Eligibility Qualification
10+2 examination/equivalent examination conducted by an Education Board/University/Council (duly recognized by the Rajasthan Board, CBSE, New Delhi) with not less than pass marks in each subject and not less than 50% marks in the aggregate of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. However, in the case of SC/ST candidates, the minimum aggregate required is 40%. OR Any examination of a University/Education Board/ College/School in a foreign country recognized by the Academic Council as an equivalent for the purpose with good knowledge of English.
Minimum Age
17 years on or before the 31 December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year of B.V.Sc. & A.H. course.
