Thamirabharani Engineering College (Autonomous) TEC, a Private, Self Financing, Non Minority, Autonomous and Co-Education College was established in 2011. Thamirabharani Engineering College was founded with the goal of producing excellent technical personnel with ethical & moral values for the overall growth of the country. The College is functioning under the administration of Kalaiarasi Educational Trust, Tirunelveli. Mr M R Paulraj is the Founder of the Thamirabharani Engineering College.

Thamirabharani Engineering College (Autonomous) TEC is situated at Vepankulam Road, Chidambara Nagar Road, Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu 627358, which is in the Tirunelveli Corporation limits is located at Thatchanallur, 5km away from Palayamkottai and 40 km from Tuticorin airport. Unfolding its grandeur over 25 acres of land, the college exhibits an attractive panorama conducive to studies. Considering a holistic approach to life and education, an ambient infrastructure is provided for the students. They enjoy a natural sanctuary of birds, magnificent scenery of evergreen trees and amazing mountains and a gorgeous garden of multi-coloured flowers.

Thamirabharani Engineering College (Autonomous) is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The College is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) which has given it a grading of B+ The National Board of Accreditation too has accredited the Academic Programs of the College. The University Grant Commission (UGC) granted Autonomous Status to the College in July 2024.
