Government College of Engineering, (GCE) Dharmapuri, was established in 2013 and is a Fruition of the far reaching vision of Dr J Jayalalitha, then Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, (vide G.O Ms. No.11, dated 30.1.2013) This was the 10th State Government Owned Engineering College in Tamil Nadu.
Government College of Engineering, Dharmapuri is located on a campus of 20.97 Acres at the foothills of the thickly forested hillocks on a sprawling land area and situated at Chettikkarai Post, Dharmapuri District. The Nearest Railway Station is Dharmapuri at a distance of 8.4 Kms. The Nearest Bus Stand is Dharmapuri, 5.4 Kms from the College.GCE, Dharmapuri is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE, New Delhi and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. This college offers 5 B.E Regular Full-Time Courses in different Disciplines with an approved Intake of 60 Students per B.E Course (Total of 300 Students p/a) The College offers Scholarships to deserving Students. It is equipped with books on various engineering subjects such as Electronics Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Computer Science Engineering and Science and Humanities subjects.
