The Kongu Polytechnic College has been established in the year 2007 with an annual intake of 240 students, by the endeavour of "Kongu Nadu Educational and Charitable Trust". The Trust is run by Eminent Educationalist and Business Personalities. As we strongly believe "Knowledge is Supreme", the motto behind starting of this college is to impart quality education to the children from rural and urban areas and make them to compete in the world of technology.

Eligibility for I year Diploma Admission
Candidates have passed the 10th standard examination (Academic Stream) prescribed by the government of Tamil Nadu or any examination of any other Board or authority accepted by the Directorate of Technical Education as equivalent thereto.

Eligibility for II year Diploma Admission (Under lateral entry Scheme)
Candidates have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of (10+2) curriculum (academic stream) prescribed by the government of Tamil Nadu with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as three of the four subjects of study under part-III.

Candidates have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of Vocational stream with Mathematics / Physics / Chemistry.

Candidates have passed both 10th standard and ITI (2 years course).

Eligibility for PART TIME Diploma Admission
Candidates have passed 10th standard and two years experience in a registered company

Placements: The percentage of placement for our students in our department is 100%. The highest package is INR 9.5 LPA, the average for the passed-out batch is INR 4 LPA, and the minimum is INR 2 LPA. The top recruiting company is JSW, which offers an INR 9.5 LPA package and recruits 7 members, so it is the best one.

The Kongu Polytechnic College has separate Physical Director who is well experienced in the field of physical education.The following play fields and indoor facilities are available to take care of the physical needs of our students.

Our college library is presently having 11885 volumes and 1486 titles. Total numbers of journals is 30 which include 15 national and 15 international journals respectively. 1453 volumes have been added during the academic year 2010-2011.
