University College of Engineering, Arani in Thiruvannamalai District is a constituent Engineering College of Anna University. This prestigious Institute was started in 2009 by the Govt. of Tamil Nadu with an aim of utilize the country’s young talent with good professional education and to confer sufficient knowledge in then to meet global demand.  At the time of establishment, the Institution has offered 4 undergraduate B.E. Degree programs and an addition branch in Mechanical Engineering through Tamil as medium of Instruction has been introduced right from the academic year 2010-2011 onwards. 

University College of Engineering, Arani is presently housed in the renovated heritage Rani Palace buildings located in the Sathya Vijaya Nagaram village on the Arni to Devikapuram Road, Thachur, Arni, a small town in the district of Tiruvannamalai.  It is about 40 km from Vellore and 120 km from Chennai. The renowned UCEA is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and is approved by AICTE, New Delhi.

University College of Engineering, Arani offers AICTE approved undergraduate level programs with highly experienced faculty in Full Time mode. B.E/B.Tech Degree Courses are offered in 5 branches of Engineering.  Furthermore, it offers several specializations in the field of Engineering.  UCEA offers these courses within the range of INR 48,000 to 200,000 with the intent to provide education at highly affordable fees. Admission Procedure

The University College of Engineering, Thiruvannamalai, part of Anna University, uses the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) process for its undergraduate (B.E) programs. Admission is primarily based on merit, determined by the marks obtained in the +2 (Higher Secondary) exams. There is no separate entrance exam for undergraduate courses offered through TNEA.
