Admission Procedure

The admission process for the University College of Engineering (UCEA), Ariyalur, follows the guidelines set by the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA). Candidates need to register for TNEA, appear for the exam, and participate in the subsequent counseling process based on their rank and preferred courses.

Registration through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) portal in May–June. No entrance exam—selection is purely on class XII marks

Eligiblity

Must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics. Minimum 45–50% aggregate (45% for reserved categories)

M.E-2 Years Course

Admission process

Register through Anna University's CEAP‑2025 portal, which handles both GATE and CEETA‑PG (Anna Univ’s own test) scores

Eligiblity

• A B.E./B.Tech degree in the relevant field with minimum ~55% marks.

• Valid GATE or TANCET score required

BENEFITS

Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students (Technical Degree) - AICTE Scheme: This scholarship is available to girl students with a family income not exceeding Rs. 8 lakh per annum. The scholarship amount is Rs. 50,000 per annum for the duration of the course (maximum 4 years).

 Saksham Scholarship Scheme for Specially Abled Students (Technical Degree) - AICTE Scheme: This scholarship is for students with a disability of not less than 40% and a family income below Rs. 8 lakh per annum. The scholarship amount is also Rs. 50,000 per annum for the duration of the course (maximum 4 years). 

Scholarships for SC/ST Students: The Government of Tamil Nadu provides scholarships to support SC/ST students pursuing higher education in engineering colleges. 

Other Scholarships: Scholarships are also available for students who have secured good marks in their 12th exams or diploma and have a low family income. Additionally, scholarships are offered for reserved categories.

Placement

Since its establishment in 2010, UCEA’s Training & Placement Cell has been actively preparing students for the workforce through pre-placement talks, aptitude and soft-skills training, group discussions, mock tests, and one-on-one counseling. Over the years, it has built strong ties with recruiters—especially in IT, core engineering, banking, and finance. Prominent companies like Accenture, Adobe, Caterpillar, Capgemini, HCL, IBM, KPMG, and Bank of America regularly visit the campus . The median package for B.E./B.Tech graduates ranges from ₹6.3 LPA to ₹7.5 LPA, with top-performing students often securing offers above ₹7 LPA. According to student reviews, securing a good CGPA—usually 75% and above—is important to participate in on-campus drives, where placements typically span from ₹2 LPA to ₹6 LPA, though exceptional performers may exceed this range .

Fees and amenities are clearly documented, including deposits, rent, and mess charges.
